A no frills hotel at a no frills price! Clean and convenient and the staff was kind-what more do you need in a hotel? I’d recommend anyone visiting the area to stay there as the location was perfect-close to everything you’d want to see.
The Classic Inn was good for a quick getaway. The staff was VERY friendly, the grounds are very clean, and the appearance was welcoming with flower boxes that were cute as a button. I would definitely stay again.
Pros: • The room and bathroom were clean and odor-free • The room was relatively large • The bed and pillows were comfortable • The room had fridge and microwave • The price was quite a bit cheaper than other equally-rated hotels in Lancaster • Great location—near lots of restaurants and things to do (Amish Farm and House; Dutch Wonderland) and just 5 miles from downtown • Easy check-in and out (via drive-through window due to COVID pandemic) Minor cons: • Road noise early in the morning (6 am hour), but that can be the price of a convenient location • No coffee/hot water maker in room (would have been nice given that the only coffee maker was in the closed lobby; however, the front desk person gave us a stack of styrofoam cups to heat water up in our microwave to make tea— brought our own tea bags) • Minimal toiletries—small bar soaps and small packets of shampoo and conditioner Overall, the pros definitely outweighed the cons and we would stay there again!…
This is a very small property surrounded by new, modern high rise motels. I have no idea how many rooms they have, but I counted only about 30 very tight parking spaces. It seems like a hold out from the past. It was not modern, but it wasn't dated either. We weren't allowed in the small lobby, but were given our key (yes, an actual key) through a drive up window. There were several staff members sitting around at our check in time, about 6 PM, but after that I never saw anyone on staff in our 2 night stay. Check out was just drop your key in a mailbox. On the very positive side - our room was big. There was about 6 feet between a love seat and the comfortable beds. There was also a nice desk with a very comfortable swivel chair. The TV had over 170 channels. The room was very clean and except for some noise from Rt. 30, all was fairly quiet. The bathroom was small, but adequate. A big sink was separate from the room with the toilet (which seemed to be lower than normal) and tub/shower. The hot water took a little while to arrive, but was plentiful when it did, with good pressure. One other very big plus was nice, thick bath towels. They were great. Not at all like the paper thin, slightly bigger than a hand towel that some places have. It was a very nice place to stay - good location close to everything. It is right across the street from Dutch Wonderland. There are a lot of nice places to stay in Lancaster and this one is worthy of you consideration.…
Second time my husband and I stayed here. The rooms are clean the staff is friendly and it's location is great. Will definitely stay again. Beds are comfortable. They do serve coffee I'm the morning. It doesn't have any type of pools but it is great for a quick getaway.
