Its in a nice location, plenty of shops and good food around. They have friendly service and good prices. The rooms are nice. There is an awesome view of long fields, woods and hill. Also a nice place for pets and they have a path for doggos.

Every year for the last 10 years, my family has stayed at this particular Red Roof Inn. Whether it was for our yearly visit to Amish country or to visit Dutch Wonderland. The rooms have always been clean in the past. The management and helpful and courteous. The pool open and clean. However on our visit on this past Tuesday July 7th, 2020. We were extremely disappointed. Lets start with not getting the room that we booked. It was supposed to be first floor poolside. Well, it wasn’t. It was on the other side of the building second floor. Next the room was filthy and smell of cigarette smoke. The bathroom had more mold in it than a petrie dish. Then we were told that the pool was closed and for reason that did not exist by the false state law that they tried to say. The Commonwealth website even said that pools could be opened. Every other hotel in the area that had a pool was open! The manger was extremely rude when shown their own website and the state website to prove his lie wrong. We left and went to another hotel. Oh, and may I mention the hypodermic needles in the main stairwell. If you’re wondering why we even looked at the room in the first place? Lancaster was getting an horrible thunderstorm. It was unsafe to stay and we left for somewhere else. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS DUMP!!!

Two stars as our *COVID* rate of $44 was worth the price of a great location and partially renovated yet horribly maintained property. Ownership should be embarrased but I am sure they dont care. Dont use your visiting brother from India anymore for repairs as he is clueless. Dont be so cheap as to not even have two full sets of towels in a double bed room. Clean up the damn place. Your franchise mandated COVID cleaning procedures were hilarious as filth and neglect remain just as present. I pity the suckered tourists who pay their usual $120 and up during peak season for here from what I have seen.

It is obvious that the owner takes no pride of ownership in this establishment. Almost everything was broken or not working; the reading lights between beds, the fridge, the sink drain, the shower curtain rod & the drapes. The door didn’t close tightly & there was no coffee maker. The waffle batter was watered down and the waffle machine had no timer. The one positive is that housekeeping is doing a good job and the room was clean.
