The décor of this hotel and restaurant are amazing! I was originally expecting something a bit tacky considering the theme, BUT it is clear once we visited that the owners and staff take great care into making sure their décor and furniture are of the highest quality. We were able to enjoy a tour of the hotel, and see the beauty in the details. The outdoor was amazing with a well-kept playground for the kids, and multiple areas along a walkway around a lake that you can sit and relax. There is a small “beach” area where you can feed the ducks that are often in the area as well! Moving indoors was like walking into the 19th century. The details of the furniture/walls/doorways would all make you feel like you’re in a different time. Even the bell for service looked handmade and added a rustic feel. The buffet at Fulton was what we originally went for. They have a pianist who can play any music and entertain while doing so. The food for most buffets can be risky depending on the timing that you come in, but the staff take great care into making sure that the food is at it’s best. They were asking a lot of questions in order to seek for improvement. A good majority of the food is made in house, and I can safely say all of the food was cooked well and enjoyable. The items that stood above the rest were the tomato bisque, pot roast, bread pudding (with in-house made caramel sauce) and probably the best dirt pudding I’ve ever eaten. The breaded stuffed chicken was a bit dry because we were there towards the end of the night, but the breading stayed nice and crispy, and the white gravy was the perfect topping to counteract how dry the chicken was. Overall I can say that I will return, and I would love to try the tavern next time to enjoy some of the fresh made dishes as well.…
We loved this hotel! The whole steamboat theme was unique and delightful, the rooms were nice, the pool & hot tub were nice, and the bar was cozy. I will say the pictures of a floating boat aren't accurate-- it's definitely on land and it's definitely not set-off by itself- it's located at a busy corner (bring your air plugs). Once inside, it's super classy and I highly recommend it. Beautifully decorated for Christmas!
This hotel that looks like a steamboat is very clean, has high-end linens and bedding, marble bathrooms, and antique furniture in some of their rooms. Steamboat Inn also has an indoor pool, restaurant, bar, gift shop, and coffee and cookies in the lobby. The back yard looks like a park with pond and children's area. Everyone on the staff is extremely nice. Location is very convenient - close to Amish country, American Music Theater, and outlets. The small drinks in the bar should be larger considering the price.
We just arrived home for a wonderful New Year’s Eve weekend. When we checked in we purchased a package for New Year’s Eve which included a four course meal for dinner and a family style breakfast the following day. When we checked in we received our New Year’s Eve champagne glasses filled with delicious chocolates and an itinerary for New Year’s Eve. Let me start by saying the dinner was delicious the best I’ve had in a very long time we started with jumbo shrimp cocktail delicious pecan salad our entrées we picked were filet mignon and I had a delicious lemon cake and my boyfriend had creamy cheesecake for dessert and non-alcoholic beverage was included, we had a slight problem with our entrées they both came well done and this is not the way we ordered them the manager Nick came to check on our dinners and we told him he took the two away and within 10 minutes we had new filet mignon‘s cooked to our liking Nick was awesome he went from table to table checking to make sure everyone was happy he made you feel like a special guest I Sure hope the owners of the Steamboat inn know What a special person Nick is he is an asset to the company he’s Definatly a peoples person this is not the first time I’ve seen Nick at the Steamboat he’s always hands on deck. The next morning we had a family style breakfast as part of the package they gave us plenty of food a great selection and more if we wanted it it was delicious and great waitress service . I have been coming here 30 plus years I always brought my children with great memories now I come for an adult getaway I have a grandson that will be old enough to bring next year do we can start making all new memories. this my home away from home and now with the new management there should be nothing but fantastic new things to come so if your looking for a clean cozy family orientated hotel look no further you won’t regret it I’ve sent many people here with no complaints enjoy ! The hotel was responsibly priced. Very nice both inside and out. It is located in a central location. 3rd floor is adults only. Rooms are designed to mimic an 1800 steamboat. All the furniture is from the time period. With nice little balconies.
On 12-10 we went to the tavern for some food and some drinks. When we entered there were 3 tables full of dishes and old food as people had left. We sat down and waited and waited and waited. It started to time any response and after 16 minutes a waitress finally showed up to the other table with a check. They had been waiting too by the looks of it. She removed the dirty dishes from out table, The ones we cleaned up, and left without saying a word. We just looked at each other in amazement. WE sat there for another couple of minutes, at least 4 and just got up and left. Also note that the bartender never spoke us and just ignored us totally. I had a business for 25 years and if I had an employee do that I would have fired them on the spot. We will never come back as we like to shop near by a couple time a year and wanted to try someplace new. Nope not again. Poor management and lousy service.…
Stayed at the Fulton Steamboat Inn. The inn was beautiful. The staff very friendly. Will definitely stay there again in the future when we travel to Lancaster. Also be sure to eat at Katie's kitchen just up the street from the inn. My friend said that the food was even better than at the Amish home she ate at a few years ago in Lancaster. Definitely recommend that as well as the inn. Sight and Sound theatre was also great as always! Loved Lancaster and look forward to visiting again soon!
Very bad experience here, and sad to say it was the first time I was here and really expected so much more. Had reservation for 12 people at 6:15. 20 minutes before, got a call telling us the can't seat us until 6:45. Oh, when reservation was made, we told them it was for the buffet. They never told us they stopped doing the buffet, so another surprise. We had to order off the menu, which was pathetic. Nothing more than bar food. Chcken sandwich, burgers, fish & chips served with greasy fries, and a pot roast, that was about it. The cole slaw was mostly all mayo, sickening. Drinks were $10, not worth it. The one waiter, i'll give him credit he really tried, and he was a trooper. All the other employess seemed very lackadaisical, no hustle, no personality at all. Anybody who rates this place above 2 stars is smoking something funny. And Ithink they charge $200 a night to stay here? Seriously???…
My two Daughter brought me to your Inn for my 90th Birthday and we all just loved the accommodations. The room was comfortable, the meals were the best and the bartender, ZAC, could not have been more friendly, please keep him, he made our visit even better. Thank you sooooo much, I am sure we will be back and recommend you to our friends. Ruby, Sharon & Beverly VA FL VT
