The location of this Fairfield is ideal, as it’s right across the street from Dutch Wonderland and within walking distance of the Tanger Outlets. The front desk agent was friendly and we were able to check into our room right away upon arrival. At the moment, the property is offering a modified “grab and go” breakfast, which was a nice option to have. I was disappointed to see that, despite current circumstances, the indoor pool is operating as normal (and appeared quite crowded). Unfortunately, all housekeeping employees I saw (at least 3) were not wearing masks while cleaning guest rooms. The room, though a relatively newer Fairfield design, wasn’t well-maintained. There were visible signs of wear throughout the room, such as scuffed furniture, dirt marks on the walls, and peeling wallpaper. Furthermore, there were hairs in the shower from a previous guest, and the room wasn’t well stocked on coffee, cups, etc. (only one of each). Noise was a bit of a problem, as we could easily hear noise from the highway and neighboring rooms’ showers, and the AC unit rattled quite a bit. While the location of this Fairfield is the best Marriott offering in the area, the property could definitely benefit from better maintenance and more attention to detail from housekeeping.

Wow! Just wow! At a time during this pandemic, they surely made it as seamless as possible. Whatever we asked, whatever we needed, nothing went unanswered. Daidy who works at the front desk was beyond amazing! She was friendly, patient and had an answer for everything. She recommended a great take out/delivery restaurant, always greeted us with a smile and made sure we had everything we needed. At night, she handled more than most could and kept smiling the whole way through. The breakfast, although it couldn’t be their traditional buffet, they made it as good as they could, making it easy, convenient and fulfilling. The facility was clean, in a great location and was priced well. We would definitely go back!!!

I have stayed at many Fairfield Inns over the years and have always found them to be clean, comfortable, well maintained and staffed with courteous, professional people who are very willing to help in any way possible. In fact, Fairfield was my preferred motel during my 20+ years of business traveling. Fairfield Inn & Suites Lancaster East at The Outlets certainly met these expectation for all of the public areas. The staff does an excellent job and the facilities are well kept in these areas. However, I found that this was not the case for our room. The room was clean and the furnishings were quite adequate, but there were several shortfalls (photos attached). First, there were several rather large tears in the carpet, each with threads hanging loose. One appears to have been a deliberate rectangular cut in the carpet, possible for some type of maintenance. All had a significant amount of loose threads. Second, and more frustrating, the curtains in our room could not be closed completely. Since this was a room on the first floor on the front of the motel in line with the corner of the driveway, the headlights of every car that drove under the canopy shined directly into our room. I improvised a method to close the curtains so we could have some privacy. A third, and rather minor but atypical for Fairfield, was a loose baseboard molding tile in the bathroom. This is definitely not what I expect for a Fairfield Inn. We come to Lancaster a couple times a year but will not be staying here again.

1st let me say the hotel was nice and clean. There is a notice on the door that face masks are to be worn, upon entering with our masks on we went to the desk where the clerk had his mask under his chin, I asked him to please put his mask on and his reply was "why?" I replied Covid and he said "I don't have it" REALLY?? Needless to say, he was rude and disrespectful and we will not be going back to that property.

We stayed at the hotel in over the MLK weekend. The hotel is very clean: all of the common areas were spotless, the rooms were clean, the furniture did not have any marks of previous use. The rooms were well cleaned when we got in. The bathroom was clean and did not have any issues. Even the A/C filters were like new! The hotel breakfast was fairly standard. There is definitely room for some improvement there however. The stuff was always very helpful. The pool was indeed small but the kids got a kick out of it. The hotel is very well situated in the heart of the Amish country, very close to restaurants and shopping centers with an easy access to route 30 and major highways. We will be back!
