My wife and I spent three very pleasant nights at Kennett House in August, 2019 while we explored the gardens, historic homes and museums in the area. The inn is convenient to, and offers discounted tickets for, Longwood Gardens, Winterthur, the Brandywine River Museum and the Nemours Estate. A couple of very decent restaurants are within easy walking distance. The breakfasts are outstanding, the house is charming, the rooms are comfortable and the innkeeper is delightful. What more could one ask?
I stayed here for 2 nights with my three sisters. We shared a suite that slept 4 comfortably. Beautiful old home, fantastic breakfasts and a lovely innkeeper who made sure we had everything we needed.
Spent a couple nights here for our anniversary while visiting the area. The B&B is a beautiful house with a unique granite exterior and gorgeous interior woodwork. Very clean and well-kept. Gilja is a wonderful hostess, sharing her knowledge of the area, especially restaurants. Her breakfasts were really delicious and presented like an artist. Highly recommend!
We happened to be the only guests one night midweek in April, before Longwood Gardens really started cranking. But we were treated like family by the owner/operator. We are vegan, and she catered to our needs. We opened a back window, and it was surprisingly quiet.
This is a very charming B&B whose hosts pay attention to details. In the common area upstairs, the mini fridge was stocked with water and the cupboard with snacks. Board games were also provided. The bedrooms were spaciousness and we'll appointed. And then, there was breakfast. Yum, yum, and yum. Eggs cooked to order, beautiful fruit, excellent coffee. We've already booked our stay for next year.
