Detailed Reviews
We would of rated it maybe higher, but we did not have hot showers for some reason
Pros—
An animal park across parking lot
Good location close to Ohiopyle, Fallingwater and other parks
Price
Cons—
Water not hot in shower
Noisy road in morning. A lot of gravel trucks maybe heading to a local quarry
Not many dinner options. We went to 7 Springs for dinner
Need to get a leaf blower and blow dust and spider webs away outside

We went to Fallingwater and stayed here because it was close by and our kids love animals. Very friendly staff. Clean and well kept. Very well decorated to keep with the rustic animal theme. Very cool that you have the living treasures zoo right in the backyard and get 50% off tickets there. We couldn’t believe how affordable the hotel was for the quality and experience you get. My whole family had an amazing time and we would highly recommend. The animal park was also very well kept with spacious exhibits for the animals and they all seemed really happy to be fed all day long by the guests.

We stumbled across this place when looking for a hotel to stay at for my daughter's (she was 7 at the time) karate tournament. We were so excited to learn there was an animal park on site!!! We definitely were anticipating a great time and this place delivered 110%! We got there late as my husband had to work that day so we couldn't make the 4 hour drive until he was off and the dogs were at boarding, but even though it was late the desk staff was super friendly and helpful. They didn't just tell us where our room was but explained in depth how to get there which was super helpful! We stayed in Pikeview and just loved the room. It was off site, so a few minutes up the road but we didn't mind that as it actually put us a few mins closer to her tournament. The room was like a little apartment. It had a big jacuzzi tub, nice bathroom, little living area, table, and mini kitchen. This was super helpful throughout the weekend especially to make sure she had a warm breakfast before the tournament. The gentleman that was in the suite next to us was super friendly as we met him in passing and we actually spent some time with him and his daughter in the zoo on Sunday (check out day). We loved the little zoo and the fact that we could feed so many animals. Especially the little kangaroos who took carrots so nice with their little paws! The room itself was very clean as was the zoo and gift shop. Staff was nothing but friendly and didn't mind my daughter talking their ear off! We had such a good time we are still talking about it nearly a year later and my daughter and us can't wait to come back. The tournament date has just posted for this year, November 7th, and we are getting ready to book (hopefully the same room) again and plan to make this a yearly family tradition!

We stayed for 1 night. I could hear with clear distinction every word being spoken by both neighboring rooms. This lasted until 1:30 am when I finally complained. The complaint was followed up but the noise did not stop. The day managers solution was to give a refund for $27.50. We could hear the party happening in the house across the parking lot in the homes. While the night manager was very kind, the rooms have paper thin walls. Plan not to sleep, and also advice to parents, your children may hear things they should not hear! It was a terrible evening.
**I have a video on my cell I cannot post, even on my phone you can clearly hear every word the people in room 207 were saying. I was in 206.

The cabin was centrally located between the heavily travelled PA Turnpike and the busy Rt.31. Which means there vehicles wizzing by all day all night throughout the night. Pikeview is road frontage to the PA Turnpike and Rt. 31. It looks like if has no business being there in that location. Aside from location, the interior had lingering odors of rodent droppings. Did not see any droppings only the strong odor. Too bad on the location and rodent odor, because it has full kitchen, shower, and hot water.

Horrible from the time we got. Reservation was screwed up said they had no pet friendly suite available even though that is what I reserved. The girl at the desk blamed their mistake on me. I found a motel that took pets and told them to just forget the whole thing. Then she said their was now a pet friendly suite available and I had pay for it whether we stayed there or not. It was down the road next to the turnpike. It smelled bad, moldy like it had not been used for a long time. The floor was so dirty, it was gritty. We couldn’t sleep because of being next to the turnpike. Everyone was rude except the girl that lived next door and asked about towels, she was nice. Pet friendly ? — if you want to walk your dog along a busy road that is about 50 feet from your door. When you call a recording says the number is out of order and gives and alternate number. No one answered the alternate number. Message box full. You should be ashamed of yourselves we checked out early. And even though no one will respond to emails and disconnect me on the phone, I still want my money back.

While the location is convenient to area attractions, such as Ohiopyle park, Fallimgwater, and even Pgh, cleanliness was lacking, inside and outside the rooms. Conversation from adjacent rooms in the lodge can clearly be heard. Needs a bit more attention from housekeeping/maintenance.

I have stayed here years ago and was amazing. However this visit was horrible.
We went there last March for a weekend. The power went out while we were up at 7 Springs, so when we got back about 2:30am, we had no lights, We figured we’ll keep each other warm, so we pulled back the sheets and well…. When we turned our phone lights on to find our way around, the sheet had mice droppings on it. Realizing we were rolling around in mice feces, a great night turned to disgust and I showed the night guy who kept apologizing and assured us the manager would call us. We were fortunate to find a bed at Holiday Inn Express at 3:30 in the morning. I wanted Log Cabin to compensate the stay at Holiday Inn Express due to the circumstances. I requested to speak to Eric the manager, called 8 times and always requested he call me back, but could never get a call back. Every time I called and talked to someone, all I did was mention the room number and they all said “Oh, you’re the mouse dropping people. We’ll tell Eric to call you.” Still waiting……..

Loved our room, we got a jacuzzi room for 2. Not enough tables for 2 computers, but the vanity counter worked for me. The jacuzzi tub is definitely large enough for 2 comfortably even if you are larger than average. The tv had the ability to accept external inputs. The attached zoo was marvelous, (I’m a kid at heart) we went every day! When we first pulled in, I noticed that the parking lot was much darker than I am used to. Then I was struck by how wide the parking spaces were! (sounds silly, I know, but it was nice). We will definitely return!

We stayed in one of the Hummingbird Suites. Full, well equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms with large screen tvs (plus one in living room), recliner couch and chair. Well stocked with coffee, etc. Very clean. Zoo was not open yet but Amazon room was fun to visit. And listening to animals in zoo was great. Really appreciated the list and directions to local restaurants. Front desk clerks were friendly and helpful.
A fantastic deal for families with children!
And pets stay free. A great deal.
