This resort is situated right by the beach, although a bit of a walk to reach patrolled beaches. Still lovely location though, and two pools and many BBQ areas. Rooms are very nice, don’t have that ‘beach-y’ feel as such, but still quite nice. We had no problems with checking in/out.
The issue with a price of over $600 per night (bookings.com rate) is that we expect facilities and service at the same level. Unfortunately, this was not the case. - The WiFi was off during the whole stay (5 days), no-one appeared in a hurry to fix it. Apparently it had been down for 2 weeks already, due to unavailability or contractor. Should be a minor detail but as it rained most of the time and 3 teenagers were part of the trip, this was not. A price credit to offset the the extra data allowance from Optus to replace this non existent wifi would have been appropriate. - Whilst the location of the residence is good, the view was not existant, due to the fact we were on the ground floor. - Also, due to the location of the unit, close to the road, garage entrance, swimming pool and bins, it has been very noisy, until late, during the 4 days we were there. - The quality of the main bedroom bed mattress was completely sub standard. We could feel the springs and it was bouncy. - Strangely there is no way of calling the reception. All these negative marks might be specific to the unit 37 and are not huge issues, but again at this level of price you would not expect to have to deal with them, so I will just recommend to avoid the unit 37 as much as you can, or negotiate a much better rate. Would have given it a 2.5 if possible.…
Extremely well appointed apartments right across the road from Pippi beach. The complex has a pool, tennis courts & BBQ area. We had full Foxtel, ensuite with double spa bath & wake up to ocean views. Conveniently located.
I recently stayed here with my wife and 2 children in a 3 bed apartment. The room was spacious, clean with a well equipped kitchen. Easy access to the beach town shops and the spectacular bowling club.
Stayed in a two bedroom apartment on the ground floor. It was very spacious and fitted with full kitchen, decent tv, dining table and comfy furnishings including queen bed. We liked the front patio area, as well as the smaller one accessed through the main bedroom. The two bathrooms worked well though we didn’t use the spa bath. Basement secure car parking was appreciated although Yamba is a friendly, safe town. The only minor issue was the very slow draining kitchen sink and we mentioned this upon leaving after our four wonderful days here. Didn’t get to use the resort pool but it looked good. The apartment was a very good standard over all, though attention to marked paint and carpet will soon be needed. Upper floor apartments might have a sea view. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. We would definitely return. Highly recommended. …
