Stopped overnight at Airlie House on way to Queensland. On arrival there was no one in Reception and we waited and waited, then realised we had to use the phone/intercom to let the owner know we had arrived. Check in was quick (once he arrived) and let us know where the restaurants and clubs were for dinner. The room was... More

Slow check in service, old and dated room decor and furniture. The bed was lumpy and with rock hard pillows to the point that my ears felt bruised waking up every hour. Old and very loud air-conditioning unit which had to be left on all night as it was very cold. Our room was off the highway and the noise... More

I was very alarmed to read this review. On investigations I have found out that this family of 4 was offered a newly refurbished 2-bedroom-family-unit, but they chose to stay in a budget twin room (max cap. of 3), which is not fully refurbished yet, on this busy weekend. All our queen rooms, all family units and half of the... More

Don't be put off by the exterior of this motel, once you get inside the rooms are much better than their exterior appearance leads you to the expect. The old house the motel is built beside, which now holds the dining area and some suites, is very grand, but the motel units look really dreary from the outside, and the... More

We have stayed here twice and if passing through again we would not hesitate in staying. From the friendly greeting and knowledge of where to have dinner was just what we needed after a long days traveling. The rooms are small but comfortable. The breakfast was great which is included in the price.

This accommodation is certainly great value for money when the tariff includes continental breakfasts which are served in the heritage listed homestead. The renovated rooms made for a very comfortable stay. The Motor Inn is an easy walking distance to shops, pubs and eateries. A great stopover.

This hotel / motel has two accommodation options - you can stay in the motel units or - you can, like us, opt to stay in the heritage listed homestead, Airlie House. You pay a bit extra for this option but I feel it is worth it to stay somewhere that has a bit of history about it. The room... More

We stayed in a room in the main block out from the original building. It was quiet and comfortable for the night. A continental breakfast was included in the tariff and was served in the dining room of the beautiful off original building, complete with classical music. It was lovely. The staff went to a lot of effort to find... More

Nice place. Stayed overnight in a clean comfy room. Staff were most helpful and we would not have expected more for the money. The suggestion from the management on where to eat was spot on and we would stay again . Airlie House is on the Southern side of Scone but unfortunately the restaurant in the lovely old building was... More

Surprisingly Scone has little in the way of attractive accommodation. We thought staying in the historic house at Airlie would be a good experience however it was not really clean, and the rooms and furnishings are past their use by date. The hallways are permeated with the smell that comes from the exhaust hood in the kitchen not removing the... More
