Stayed here for non-golf reason. The building is old and charming. Rooms have tea/coffee, ensuite, TV etc. Heating is automatic piped to radiator but can be turned off. Ceiling fan, bedside table both sides with reading lights. There is free wifi but I found it slow & unreliable. The double bed is 2 singles pushed together but there was no... More

I stayed here recently with a group of friends with a deal which included accommodation, breakfast a 3 course dinner and 2 rounds of golf. I noted previous comments made mention of Dormie house being in need of TLC and being rundown. I feel these comments are way off the mark, it's exactly as one would expect from a guest... More

This was a comfortable, if somewhat pricey, hotel with great views over a golf course. The room was warm (it was winter) and clean. The service was OK but not overly conspicuous. We didn't eat at the restaurant which had a dress code. The free Wi-Fi was not available in the rooms.

Just spent 3 days at Dormie with an elderly Bridge group, accomodation is clean and value for money. The ambience is very rustic and country type living but set in the wonderful location of Moss Vale Golf Club.Whilst June is a cold month in the Highlands ,Dormie House is a warm welcoming place to visit with wonderful and helpful staff who go... Go up to the Dormie House every month for a fly fishing club meeting, we have dinner here and it is delicious as they have homemade bread and the steak is to die for. The rooms are very relaxed and quiet and a ideal place for a weekend getaway in a peaceful place.

Staff were efficient and friendly. Dormie House itself has lots of character and we enjoyed the open fire and lovely big chairs in a common lounge room. Our room was clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfy. There were plenty of extra blankets available too.

We stayed two nights in what would have been a very elegant building in its hey day. Sadly, it appeared run down and in need of some TLC. The room size was quite large and ensuite quite sufficient. There was no air conditioning and we had to request a fan which when it arrived didn't do a lot to cool... More

We were staying in the area for a wedding and booked this online as it was a great price. The building is very old and needs some serious TLC. It seems popular with local golfers. We didn't find anyone very welcoming and any warmth of hospitality. We couldn't get a drink at the bar. The rooms were exactly as advertised.... More

Comfortable although a little dated (dark panelling), old world style. Room was small, 2 single beds pushed together to make a king size bed, with little space around the bed, small TV, basic bar fridge, bathroom recently renovated but tiles could be cleaner. Right on the golf course with ample parking for guests. Features dining area, games room, bar and... More

My husband and I stayed and played golf. The golf course and pro shop are excellent. We enjoyed Dinner and breakfast here and both were hearty and good value. Staff were friendly and helpful. We played pool on the magnificent full sized table and table tennis after dinner. The rooms are dated but charming. Very clean and comfy beds. If... More
