What a fabulous place to stay on the magnificent Lord Howe Island! From the moment we landed, we were warmly greeted by Tom who drove us to the lodge. He went out of his way to show us all of the points of interest on the island and provided local knowledge and many great suggestions to improve our stay. On...

The Lodge is located in a beautiful bushland setting which harbours all sorts of lovely birds. The room was a good size for the two of us with a double and single bed, kitchenette & separate bathroom. BBQ facility was close by and cleaned & prepared each day. The staff were very friendly and helpful, always willing to answer our...

We stayed in apartment 8 for a week and found it spaceous and containing most items one needed for a partly self contained holiday. A stove top would be an extra asset, but compensated by access to a gas barbeque a few metres away. The apartment is in a private location, has a comfortable queen bed and an additional single...

Recently stayed at Beachcomber for 5 nights. Had a one-bedroom apartment. Terrific room, modern and well equipped (had a small kitchen with a toaster, microwave, electric frypan and mini fridge). Everything worked and was well looked after. The bathroom had also recently been updated. The bed - very comfortable. Excellent sized rooms with a shared verandah (including table and chairs...

Stayed a relaxing week at Beachcomber Lodge in a one bedroom apartment. The amenities were great and room spotlessly clean. Having to stay an extra night due to cancellation of flight wasn't an issue but certainly a happy, albeit unexpected, treat for us. Hope to return again in the very near future. Many thanks to Gary and Teresa - your...

Gary and his staff were very helpful and laid back as was the whole island. Avoid the studio unit closest to the dining room and the art gallery as it wasn't always peaceful, especially when dinner was served (3-4 nights per week). The laundry was free. WiFi was provided at a cost from a 3rd party supplier. Close to Ned's...

Like the rest of Lord Howe Island, everything about this place is like stepping back into the easy going, safe days of the 1970s. Beachcomber (apart for 10 years), has been in the family for 100 years! So there's nothing Geoff or his mum Una can't tell you. We also had the most lovely cleaning lady named Shell. Everything on...

I had spoken with Gary the very friendly manager of Beachcomber Lodge to explain I was visiting Lord Howe with my two young adult children, to scatter the ashes of their father. Lord Howe being his favourite place on earth. He was very courteous and sensitive to our needs, and provided a family cottage. A shuttle bus service between the...
