The room was clean and well maintained each day. The restaurant was very good, all meals excellent. Lovely peaceful setting excellent for relaxing. Staff were very helpful nothing too much trouble. Lovely modern setting just a short walk to beach. A bit out of the way to the small shops.

I'd heard whispering that Lord Howe Island was an amazing place, but I think like most I got it confused with Whitsunday locations, and Norfolk island. My wife found a special staying almost at close of season, at Arajilla Retreat. The experience was incredible. The location made us feel like we were in another world, another reality. Everywhere you look... More

Our stay in Arajilla was perfect. It's location is ideal and its staff are exemplary. The wonderful accommodation, terrific service and delicious food made our stay just so relaxing and easy. Lord Howe Island was such a delightful surprise - who would have thought that this beautiful interesting and amazing island was sitting so quietly and peacefully so near the... More

I recently went to Lord Howe Island on a walking holiday organised by Auswalk. It was better than I expected. Not only did we walk and sometimes climb all over the small island but we snorkelled among turtles and reef sharks just off the beach and took a speedboat out to see the remarkable Ball's Pyramid which is totally unique.... This was our second trip to Lord Howe and our second stay at Arajilla. Our expectations were high as we had very fond memories of our first stay..... and Arajilla did not disappoint. Familiar faces welcomed us on our arrival. The staff are helpful, attentive and friendly without being in your space all the time. Nothing is too much trouble... More

My friend and I visited Lord Howe Island while the RockFest was on in March, 2016. We treated ourselves to a massage at the Arajilla Retreat and can thoroughly recommend the experience. We didn't stay at the hotel, so can't comment on the rooms, but the treatment we received from the staff was welcoming and helpful. We booked in our... More

We were shouted a week stay by my girl friends parents after they'd come back from their October visit. We both fell in love with the Island and with Arajilla Retreat. LOL I think the girl friends parents are trying to hint at something, and yes we go it loud and clear. It would be the perfect place for a... More

Lord Howe Island is a quaint, magical place that looks me a little while to get my head around but I left in love with the island. You basically have the choice of resorts of Arajilla, Capella (no kids under 10 and quite out of the action) or Pinetrees (quite family oriented but 70 ish people so busy) that are... More
