We were there in February 2016. Mind you, it was supposed to have been late January 2015, but the weather ' set in' and the planes couldn't 'get in' so we descended in February on the flight from Sydney. The accommodation at Blue Lagoon is a bit out dated as are most of the other places. But given the fact... More

We booked a one bedroom apartment at this friendly hotel, but ended up with a family unit. This was very large, with a double bedroom and a single bed in the corridor outside, but the unit was right round the back of the property away from the other rooms we had actually booked, and was rather too basic for our... My partner and I booked a studio room and were surprised by how big it was. It was comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The grounds are well kept. There is a laundry room with washing machine. Bikes are available for hire on location. The location in town is excellent. It is a... More

You cannot beat blue lagoon for location! 100 m to lagoon, right in the heart of the small town area, and a 10 minute stroll to Neds beach and old settlement. The units are comfortable although a little dated. New barbqs, clean rooms, friendly staff and immaculate gardens. Bikes available to hire, a 20 m walk to Thompsons store and... More

Our party of eight stayed here and we were all very pleased with our choice. The location is very central and only a few minutes walk to shops and the lagoon. It is also only about ten minutes easy walk to Ned’s Beach, meaning that you can always find a protected spot no matter what the wind is doing. The... More

Blue Lagoon Lodge was something of an 'extra' for us on our one week stay on Lord Howe. Our Friday flight had been cancelled due to a bird strike on landing and so the friendly staff at Qantas Link managed to find us overnight accommodation in a Studio Room at The Blue Lagoon. Whilst the accommodation is a little dated,... More

We have stayed here twice and the cabins are really tidy and clean. Nothing fancy but good value and excellent location. All of the staff are absolutely lovely and we will definitely return. We loved our stay as usual!!!

Lord Howe Island is Australia's best kept secret. Blue Lagoon Lodge was the perfect place to view it from. Janine and Peter looked after our every need. Perfect location walking distance to beaches on both side of the island, restaurants and all the walks on the northern end of the island. Peaceful, lovely gardens. A little dated but I would... We recently took our extended family to Lord Howe Island to celebrate a milestone anniversary, and chose Blue Lagoon as our base as we knew from previous visits to the island that it is very conveniently situated for anyone who doesn't want to walk or cycle too far. In fact it is pretty well perfect for young kids as it... More

Blue Lagoon is the perfect location on Lord Howe Island (LHI), central to the beach at The Lagoon and Ned's Beach. Close to restaurants and local amenities, and easy walking or cycling distance to walks and bird watching. Blue Lagoon is owned by the Thompson Family ( island dynasty) who are the consummate professional team in providing the right mix... More
