Spent a short holiday in a neat, fresh and cosy villa at this great location just a few steps from Settlement Beach. The villa was very well appointed and felt so homely. I cannot fault it. The service was very friendly. The restaurant was closed as it was low season but the villa had a kitchen with a 'welcome breakfast...

We arrived for a long weekend over Easter and were impressed with the natural beauty of the island. There are picture postcard views from every part of the island - it really is that beautiful. On arrival we were greeted by Liz from Milky Way and loved her down to earth, tell it like it is nature and we're envious...

Cheaper than some of the other places (remember that everywhere on Lord Howe is expensive) but to my mind it has the best location. Very clean with excellent facilities and virtually on the beach. Andrea was extremely helpful and friendly. The Milky Way restaurant was excellent too.

Most of the accommodation on Lord Howe is inland, so options near the beaches are limited. From what I could see, the closest ones were Arajilla, Pinetrees and Milky Way, which is the most affordable of the three. It's still quite steep in general terms at Aus$300 per night for a one-bedroom villa, but hey, there are no budget options...

the villas are ideally located on the southern end of the island. The management are very friendly and obliging. They offer a pick up drop off service to the airport and to all restaurants operating on the island each day the other mode of transport around the island is via bike and facilities are available within the villa for these.

My wife and I stayed for a week in a one bedroom villa (although with so much to do on the island we were not in the room much during the day). This was roomy enough for the two of us with a spacious bathroom, a storage area off the bedroom and a good sized kitchen/dining/lounge. We alternated between dining...

I give Milky Way 5 stars in the context of what you should expect at/from Lord Howe Island. LHI is sheer magic and surely a rarity in the world. Limited guests, get around on bikes, leave your doors open, beautiful reef, walks, fish etc. A real step back into a forgotten time. Life is simple and pure. Milky Way is...

We really enjoyed our stay at Milky Way. We were in a one bedroom villa which was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately closely behind our villa was a road which connected some homes of local residents, and even though there are very few vehicles on the island, I was woken every morning early by cars passing....which spoilt my sleep-ins. Also on...

Had a very relaxing and enjoyable 2 weeks at Milky Way. We really enjoyed being about to cook for ourselves. Also loved the big rooms in the Belmoreana villa. Andrea looked after us beautifully. We will certainly visit again.
