Didn't stay here but had dinner here. Old school pub with buffet salad/veggie bar to top up your main with. Seems to be the centre for workmen in the local area to eat. Friendly service, dated decor but adds to the charm of the place. Awesome Parma & good wine!

We dropped into the Khancoban Alpine Inn for lunch. The bar tender was very friendly and took out orders. We noticed that they had a Kosciusko Pale Ale on tap and she was happy to give us a sample. It was a great brew so we ordered a couple. My husband and I had the fish and chips which came...

We had dinner here on an overnight stay. The satay chicken parma was very good, my brother also enjoyed his meal. The barstaff are very friendly and the beer good and cold. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We did not stay at the inn but ate at the restraunt.

Accommodation probably Ok for some but the rooms really need attention, unless you really need to I would suggest Cooryong rather than staying here. Meals in the pub are good, well priced and well cooked with both hot and cold buffet available for your sides.

Enjoyed the food and beers here. The salad bar was excellent - you helped yourself once you'd picked up your meal. Slightly gruff landlady - kind of felt like we were being told off while ordering the food! Some menu items weren't available in the evening e.g. burgers which seemed a little bit strange. When the food came we were...

You need to accept that it is a budget country hotel. It was clean, the tv was tiny and Internet didn't work very well but it's $90 a night. Meals were budget and simple. The hotel is in need of a big makeover but how do they pay for that and get a ROI? Was a nice stop over on...

Very ordinary, bathroom smelled of stale soapy water, shower flooded the bathroom curtain only covered 2/3 of the window , but it was only $70 and not too many other choices in town, restaurant looked ok but we ate elsewhere

After a slight mix up on check in everything else was a pleasant stay. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Accommodation is dated but our room was clean and comfortable. Shower pressure was great with heaps of hot water (we stayed in the newer of the two buildings). Also included in the price was a basic continental breaks. One...

The Alpine Inn Khancoban was first built to house the workers of the Snowy Hyrdo scheme in the 60's. Coming a long way from its "Pickled Parrot" days, the Alpine Inn has been working hard to improve its image for 2013, taking on a great NEW team of Managers, Maintenance, and Cleaning/Hospitality staff. Situated in the valley of Australia’s high country, bordering two of Kosciuszko National Park entries, and only an hour from Thredbo ski resort, there are many things to see and do in and around Khancoban. Surrounded by beautiful mountains for hiking, cycling &motorbike rides, Khancoban is only a short drive to the Murray River Victoria border, and walking distance to boating & fishing lakes popular for fishing trout. The Alpine Inn offers motel accommodation with budget & superior rooms, each room with its own bathroom, TV, mini fridge, air-conditioning & heater/electric blankets for the winter. The pub is open for lunch & dinner every day of the week with an abundance of seating in either the restaurant, bar or outside with the scenery while the kids swim in the pool. Have a game a pool in our gaming area, including a TAB and poker machines (18+).Escape to Khancoban from the busy city living, with the summer months a hit in Khancoban, the lake only seconds from the Motel, brings access to boating for some water skiing or wakeboarding lovers.
