Booked for three families who were travelling to Gosford for our children to play in a State Indoor Hockey Championship. Accommodation was clean and tidy and allows for self catering... could be interesting if you don't have the whole top floor booked and don't know the other people you are sharing with. Good our requirements, Laurie was helpful. Parking is...

Stayed as a group of 6 over a few nights while we attended Tough Mudder. Was close to the event which was great and convenient and was also close to a Coles, Dan Murphies and RSL. There were a few rules to avoid extra charges. Had to be over cautious with dirtiying the linen (i believe the owner has been...

When we arrived at Wombats Bed & Breakfast we were greeted by Laurie who showed us to a good size room with a TV, fridge, double bed and bunk bed. We were upgraded to a bigger room for the same price, and my 2 year old son & light sleeper husband had the best sleep ever. It was comfortable and...

A group of friends and I rented out the whole B&B for a week and I had a similar experience to other people leaving reviews here: - The owner Laurie lives in the house behind the B&B and comes in and out as he pleases - Charged us extra for everything possible (there is a kitchen upstairs and downstairs and...

The beds amazing and the doonas r so soft. In the morning I sat outside and enjoyed the sun near the pool. I came here...

The owner was creepy and strange, the place itself was quite outdated and it was very overpriced for what it was, I would advise anyone to avoid this B&B, unfortunately everything was booked out in the area due to a tournament otherwise I would have just found somewhere else to stay. We also left much earlier than the 10am checkout...

Upon arrival the owner threatened to kick us out if we were loud, before we even entered! He then have us a sound warning at 8.30pm on a Saturday night for simply talking too loudly! And then re warned us literally 2 mins later. Avoid this place!

I stayed at Wombats B & B a few days ago because I didn't want to stay in busy Sydney. It didn't take long to get there from Sydney and although I arrived frazzled and late at night Laurie the owner was very welcoming. When he saw how worn out I looked he carried my bags in and made me...

We arrived exhausted after a long flight/drive ....Before showing us to our room, Laurie, the owner insisted on taking our credit card and drivers licence again and writing down the details because, he said, to check we hadn't stolen them! Had we a choice, we would have left then, however, our card had been charged when we made the booking...

COZY BURROWS If you google ‘wombats’, you may get one or two surprises. Apart from information and pictures of an Australian animal known for its ability to arrange cozy burrows, you’ll read about a pop/rock band from Liverpool, England. You might also notice as you scroll around: the Women’s Mountain Bike and Tea Society (WOMBATS) run by Jacquie Phelan in...

“Prepare for left turn into sharp hairpin driveway of Wombats by counting house numbers to 144 when driving from West Gosford. Sometimes Brisbane Water Drive is quite busy. Rooms, referred to as 'Burrows', vary according to traveller needs - family, couple, single, etc: bunks + double; twin; double only. Manager very helpful.”
