We had a powered site that was cemented, a good size and situated between the cabins. It was quiet (with only limited traffic noise). It is a busy park and amenities are clean. There are parts of the park that may be more susceptible to noise. Whilst staff at reception were pleasant the welcome would not be described as friendly.

Part of a 3 cabin unit (motel unit), but sound from the one next to us was minimal suggesting good insulation. It was fairly new and in very good order, had a lounge but nota separate bedroom. Included a microwave and a gas cooktop with just the minimal of cookware. A full size fridge and there was free WiFi although... More

We booked for a grass spot with electricity. The lady said we could put our tent anywhere along the trees. But there were only a few trees there and the caravan park is right next to the highway which was very loud. As the grass spots were not well defined, a crowd started forming around our tent. The kitchen was... More

Very busy park, only one in town other than free parking, which does not help the town.steeped in mining history,so you kill a couple of days looking around, but we had a plan.Tourist office was a great help and very helpful.

Stayed just one night on a powered site. Found it well laid out and clean. The only excitement was when 2 ladies were taken aback by a chicken sauntering into the shower block. Couldn't leave my lovely hot shower to join in the hysteria. Both Optus and Telstra reception. Would certainly stay again.

After 4 weeks meandering through central Qld and NSW and enduring lots of mud, it was a blessing to find this park has lovely huge sites with large concrete slabs and plenty of grass areas. A friendly welcome and clean amenities added to the pleasant experience. The camp kitchen seemed to be quite new and was impressive. A bit of... More

I've stayed in this park quite a few times, in both vans and cabins. I had Cabin #11 this time. I am not being nasty but its time for a refurbish of #11 at least. The big heavy clunky chairs, covered in that sort of bobbly material have had so many bottome sitting on them that they are greasy, Ditto... More

Powered camp site during June. Stayed 3 nights. Young couple that manages the park are a lovely couple who does everything for you to enjoy your stay. Enquire into busy season and was advised that March - October. One night there was approx 100 vans pulled in. A great spot for the Grey Nomads on the way further west. Camp... More
