We had just arrived from Melbourne and went straight to the pub for a drink and something to eat. The three of us couldn't finish the delicious platter of nibbles but in all honesty, it was probably the tasty fries that was our undoing. Enjoyed with a round of their cider on tap and the last of the sunshine. Beautiful.

Beautiful location, in walking distance to the main streets. Friendly staff and good food! Very busy restaurant and bar, constantly. Everything is pricey. The rooms were out dated, furniture wasn't modern nor new & the shower is horrible. It was nice mainly because of the location, I wouldn't stay there again.

Rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained, although the furniture and the entire look of the room was a little dated. Check in and out was fast, easy and pleasant. My room seemed to have limited power socket points particularly around/ near the bed.

I pre-booked and paid for a night in this hotel only to find on arrival that a walk in would have been $30 cheaper with free wifi and a bottle of wine! Not the best start - but I assumed that perhaps pre-booked rooms might be a bit better than other rooms. And they very well maybe but my room... More

I used to come to Byron Bay very often and always stayed here...right on the beach, acceptable garden area and pool, water views, if a bit restricted, from the good rooms, the lively pub next door (but not disturbing at night) and within walking distance of everything in Byron Bay.Then the rooms felt reasonably modern but they are now falling behind and a... Beach Hotel was very busy, but well worth it. unfortunately it took us over 45 mins to drive around 10 kms. The council have no idea how to cater for tourism. The new road is 1 lane. They should either decide they want tourists or they should close the town down

Friday night at the Beach Hotel is awesome - live music on the night we went and great food and drinks (Stone & Wood Jasper, yum). Jock Barnes and his guitar set the mood for a really good night - this fella has talent to burn. Felt like we were at home - nice crowd, nice place, we'll be back.

Been coming for over 15 years, and pretty sure property hasn't been updated in that whole time. Looking tired, dated and could be easily refreshed with a repaint, new pictures. Bathrooms especially need updating - and shower was very low pressure. Small maintenance issues throughout room. There are increasing competition in Byron and whilst they maintain the prime position I... More

Came to Byron for a little 3 day break with my wife. Chose the beach hotel as it was very central We got the penthouse sweet, and it is very nice and clean with a comfortable bed. The only down side to this place is the out of date furniture. For the price the decor is a little dated. Other... More
