We had the most amazing time at Shambhala, we bought our 2 little dogs with us and they absolutely loved running up and down the beach every day. We stayed in Shanti and it was perfect for us. We will definitely all be back very soon for another visit.

We had a great experience at this place recently location was amazing and very surreal. We took our dog and he had a great time on the beach. Very fortunate that the weather was amazing. The Simadi is the best one in the place and we lived walking out straight out on the beach. We also brought our own small... More

Set amongst the tranquility of a rainforest and eastern culture - you might think you have made the penultimate choice in accommodation!! Think again - a 'polycarbonate roof' - apparent insulation, a tree hoisted against the frame of the studio (Shiva in our experience), that squarked in resistance against the timber when the wind blew. An air conditioner that was... More

Beautiful, well appointed accomodation with excellent facilities ( including barbecue, sun lounges, hammock, sauna, steam room and spa bath ) and access to a stunning beach. Very friendly and helpful staff.

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with happiness and open arms. Jo, the owner of this magical place took us on a tour of the grounds. From steam room to the gym, sauna to our own spa bath this place offered us everything that we required to have a truly relaxing holiday. Shambhala is located around 15min walk... More

If you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all but still be close enough to great restaurants, shops and explore all Byron has to offer then this is the place. My husband and I Just spent 4 nights here in the "honeymoon" apartment (Samadhi) to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary and we couldn't have asked for more.... More

Unfortunately, I am staying here until Sunday because they made me pay in full a month before arriving. Now I understand why. This is the WORSE hotel I ever stayed in! The "Shiva" is a tiny bedroom that they decided (according to the manager...) to add on a kitchen that connects to a yoga room (which is supposedly our "loft/TV... More

This was an incredible place to stay! Dierk was so lovely from start to finish- giving us a thorough tour of the grounds and ensuring we had everything we needed. The 'hut' was spacious and beautiful. Air-con was perfect and the projector screen was a nice surprise. The grounds are so tranquil and relaxing. The best bit for us was... More

I don't usually write reviews however this place surpassed all expectations. A beautiful and calm entrance with stunning statues of Buddha and Ganesh. All senses awaken with the incense sticks, soft music. With private areas for each cottage inclusive of loungers and hot tubs (and of course the private beach). A great get-away for some peace and quiet. Good facilities,... More

Chose Shambhala with the intention of creating the perfect setting for a surprise proposal to my girlfriend on the deck of the Samadhi Retreat. What I found in Property Manager Dierk was nothing short of AMAZING - he helped / arranged / photgraphed and at times even waited his way to the most magical night that my partner and I... More

“I would highly recommend Samadhi, Shanti and Sarita, however the smaller Shiva studio apartment appeared smaller and tucked away under Samadhi. It would be worth checking out the virtual tour of Shiva to ensure it meets your expectations prior to booking, however the other 3 are great.”
