I was staying for 6 nights but for 2 nights had 2 female relative visitors. The manager took a lot of trouble (I had to pay extra of course) to reallocate us to a more suitable room. Cleanliness and faculties overall were good. It was disappointing that the balcony and public areas were concrete, not tiled or paved. Expensive for... More

Byron in general is not cheap for accommodations. I would recommend staying at Byron Bay Side Central Motel to a friend without a doubt. Here's why: -room is spacious -bed was comfortable -huge balcony -kitchen -decent washroom -washer/dryer included in the room -futon and an extra single bed in the room for more people if needed Wifi is provided by... The Byron Bay Side Central Motel is conveniently located in a the centre of town. That's about all it has going for it. The rooms are dated with 1980's decor. The carpets were sticky. Your feet stick to the carpets like you are wearing Velcro soled shoes. Bring a pair of binoculars if you want to watch the TV from... More

Was clean enough and ok for a couple of night stay. Found it very loud due to two reasons. Bats in reserve on other side of road. Plus, there was a restaurant directly below my room, which made sleeping not great of a night. Other rooms may not be as affected.

I have no problems with the room or amenities. My problem is the management. Do not plan to sit on the balconly talking softly otherwise the (assumed) manager will walk into your room unannounced and advise you to go to bed. I wont be staying again and definately wont be recommending this place.

Stayed in a one bedroom room that was a little dated but close to everything. We were only a two minute walk to the beach and close to all shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and the price we paid was very reasonable. The only minor issue was the noise level at night during the Falls Festival.

Aged and cheap but it's nice and close to everything. Single mum with two small kids I struggled up three flights of stairs with luggage etc as we were staying for the week. Cleaners were average, would've been nice if the floor was swept maybe once.

Booked through Qantas holidays. Good location, Maryann at reception is so so friendly. Organised late checkin (after 530pm), was simple and easy. A strict no noise policy and it's a nice quiet place to stay. But, not far to walk to the night life and action. Also great location for beach, cafes and lighthouse. We'll be back

I have stayed here twice now over the last 2 year and haven't been disappointed. You get what you pay for! The location is good - couple of minutes and you're in the heart! There's a nice balcony to sit and watch the street and have a drink. Room is tidy but basic. Definitely a budget holiday stay but for... More

Stayed for 3 nights with my wife in Aug 2015. Location is good, very close to main shopping/restaurant area, and underground parking was useful too. The room was clean but a little shabby, old carpet, awkward sofa, bed was reasonable. Most annoying was the shower which had weak pressure and was only ever lukewarm. 300MB wifi allowance for 3 days... More
