We stayed overnight after a night out at Le Tres Bon, a local restaurant, rather than drive home after our anniversary dinner. Large room, good shower. Heater was on when we arrived, making the room welcoming and warm.

We had a suite and it was lovely, only negative was that it was dark, unfortunately that is how the building was designed. We went to dinner at The Tom Wills tapas bar and it was very nice.Staff were great and food reasonably priced.

We stayed here for 1 night. The motel is very quiet with beautiful well lit gardens. The motel restaurant wasn't open during our stay but it is only a short walk to the other restaurants/pubs. The staff were very helpful and the spa room was very clean.

We had a great stay in a family room at The Carrington. Great sized room with courtyard which would be brilliant in the warmer months. My only negative is that for a family room there is no storage for our family of 4 so would be nice to see some drawers so you can properly unpack and settle in, Great...

Thank you Ms K. Very kind of you to take the time to review. Your suggestion of drawers for the family to unpack is a very good suggestion and we will take action on it. (I feel a bit sheepish for not having seen the need for that sooner.) We look forward serving you again some time in the future....

The hotel was very quiet. Short walk into town for dinner (not many options) as the hotel restaurant was closed during our stay. Rooms were large with a desk to work from. Large bathroom. Comfortable bed. Overall great stay

Stayed for 2 nights at The Carrington Inn. The staff was so friendly and hospitable. The gardens are beautiful and being so close to the delightful town made the get away from city hustle and bustle so much more enjoyable. The room's decor was a bit dated (I understand they had plans to update many of the rooms in 2015),...

We really enjoyed our three night stay at the Carrington Inn. The room was spacious and comfortable and the staff very friendly and keen to help. The quiet location and good soundproofing between rooms added to the ambience. The beds were perhaps a little firmer than we are used to, but this was a small gripe compared with the overall...

We stayed there for a weekend in November 2015. The room was quite large and well presented. There was little noise and the staff were helpful and friendly. Bungendore isn't a large town and this was an unexpectedly nice stay.

We just had our dad's 70th birthday party (& all stayed the night) at the The Carrington Inn. Edwina and the team were amazing to deal with - so warm and friendly. The refurbishments look so beautiful and and food was to die for! Thank you so much for making my dad's night perfect and for making me feel at...

There isn't a huge choice of accommodation in Bungendore but this motel/inn is a very good option. Our room was large, quiet and clean. It is a short walk to anywhere of interest. The receptionist was lovely and helpful. No meals are available but there enough places to eat only minutes away. Good value.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Established in 1885, The Carrington Inn has enjoyed a colourful and adventurous life. Initially a coaching inn for travellers on the Cobb & Co route the Carrington has in its century and a half existence, also been a general store and a private residence. In the 1980's it was lovingly restored as the Inn's warm and hospitable dining restaurant and the cornerstone to our good conference and accommodation facilities on the five acre property. We are very proud to offer the Carrington to you as a homely place to celebrate, relax, unwind, or stay. Our specialty is to cater for meetings and celebrations of between 15 and 60 people. The Carrington Inn environment is perfect for events where it is important to stay focused and not distracted by external noise, intrusiveness, or unpleasantness. The Inn is a foundation piece of Bungendore, a thriving country town with good food, boutique shops, arts, crafts, and Australian heritage. It's a small town and easy to get around on foot, while being welcomed everywhere you go. The Carrington Inn is just 20 minutes by car from Parliament House and 25 minutes from Canberra International Airport. It is beautifully located so as to enjoy the museums and culture of our national capital, the wineries and crafts of the region, while having a base that is comfortable, safe and hospitable. It is the perfect staging post for adventures in the cool climate wine country of the Southern Tablelands, or trips to the coast (90 minutes - East), or the snow (3 hours - South). The Carrington Inn has 26 well-appointed rooms each with kitchenette, air conditioning, flat screen television, and WiFi. Many of our rooms have private gardens and some have relaxing spa baths. Off-street parking is free. All our buildings and gardens support disabled access. PLEASE NOTE: OUR RESTAURANT IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING REFURBISHMENT and is closed. It will reopen with an exciting new menu and decor later in the year. In the meantime, there are other lovely local restaurants and cafes who will treat Carrington Inn guests as we would ourselves. ... more   less
