We stayed as part of a birthday weekend . The hotel is lovely , it's not a chain hotel , thank goodness , it's family run business by hard working owners and managers and you can tell . Bedrooms range in price and situation , clean and functional. Food was tasty , fresh and cooked to order . A good... More

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights. Bedroom clean with comfortable bed. All the staff were pleasant and efficient. The hotel has a lift and there is just about enough room to park your car. Breakfast was up to the usual standard found in hotels these days. Although we had pre-booked a table for evening dinner, they had no... More

I have been going to the hotel ( less frequently than I would like ) for 40 years. It's a traditional 3 star hotel, the rooms and common rooms are a little dated by contemporary standards, however very adequate and clean. Over this period it is the food that has been updated. It is excellent and good value. During this... More

The location is magnificent and the lunch was spectacular. This chef is worth a visit. Lots of seafood and imaginative dishes and the dessert was wonderful. The staff were friendly and the beer was good. This is the second year we have lunched here and I'm sure we will be back.

As we sat in the restaurant looking over beautiful Housel Cove watching seals playing in the crystal clear water I knew we had picked the right hotel. Housel Bay is the most southerly hotel in Britain and certainly one I would recommend. The food is great and the staff are friendly, happy and efficient, nothing seemed too much trouble. The... Stunning location - I went for lunch with my grandson two days ago and had a superb meal. I eat out a lot in Truro, Newquay and thereabouts and the food was up there with the best. The staff were friendly and helpful - the formal dining room was traditional and splendid - our lunch was served in the less... More

We loved it here. Great food and drink. Great selection from the menu. Attention to detail from the managers. Very thoughtful in finding me a current paper. Excellent waitress service; all smiles and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, good coffee, always a bonus! We would love to stay again soon. Bedroom was good size with a four... Another superb visit to our favourite hotel in Cornwall. Alfred and Iona run a wonderful hotel right on the cliff top at the Lizard. Amazing views from the dining room of the sea and light house. The evening meals are very good with a wide menu choice. There is a big emphasis on fish which we love. Hope to be... More

We are situated in a spectacular location at the Lizard in Cornwall. A lovely sandy cove nestles beneath the Hotel, and the Cornish Coast Path runs through the gardens and cliff lands. A place in which to walk, to eat and drink well and to set aside the cares of the world.
