I recently stayed at gemstones, and have to say that it is a beautiful and expertly run b and b,a lovely welcome from simon and matt, who were so friendly and helpful, with great local knowledge. My room was spotlessly clean, and had everything I could want, simon's breakfast was fantastic, and being a keen gardener,I loved the detail put into making the property so attractive... More

Great attention to detail; Great service; great value! Having stayed at Gemstones over a few years I am always impressed to the small attention to detail. Simon is always on hand to offer advice on local attractions and services. The premesis is spotless and well maintained. Breakfast time is as flexible as possible.

We stayed here for 3 nights in the amethyst ensuite room. The room was cosy and comfortable. Simon looked after us wonderfully. The whole place is beautifully decorated and this is all due to Simon's hard work. Do not miss a walk round the garden. We visited Eden Project ( don't miss the rainforest) Classic Air force ( near newquay... More

We stay here every summer for our summer week in Cornwall. Since last year, Simon has been busy getting the rooms revamped. So a fresh new look, but the same wonderful comfy bed (we prefer the room with separate bathroom and shower) and great breakfasts! Plus the gardens were as gorgeous as ever. Looking forward to next visit!

Selected the B & B by chance as relations live in nearby Truro. Never met 2 more amenable hosts in Simon and Matt. They can't do enough for you, they tell you where to go, how to get there and and provide a spotless and quiet accommodation with a breakfast to die for. We will be staying there again in... More

We spent two nights in Gemstones on a recent visit to Cornwall. Simon was welcoming and friendly and Gemstones itself very pretty and well looked after. The garden is delightful and our room and en suite bathroom was very clean and in excellent decorative order. The bed was especially comfortable, a little on the firm side which is exactly how... After comfortable nights in my stylish and scrupulously clean bedroom/en suite, I came down to enjoy a very tasty breakfast followed by toast & home-made marmalade!!
