My two night stay was made very welcoming and friendly by the lovely staff, right from the word go! My stay was very comfortable. This ancient hotel has been tastefully modernised and the Christmas decorations bold and wonderful.......outside and in.....fab! The open plan bar and lounge area with real fire was well used and comfortable, restaurant...a piece of theatre! My...

Lovely chilled hotel. Had great deal on Groupon £99 for dinner bed and breakfast for 2 nights. Dinner 1st night. Room was clean and modern, well equipped and comfortable. The bed is super comfy and cosy! There was a live guitarist/singer sat night who was really good, a bit John Mayor. And a small salsa class on the Sunday so...

This is the second time we have stayed here while down for the Celtic Beer Festival. Good value and very good service. Decided to have a bite to eat in the bar, and this was just the ticket. Rooms are comfortable, although the shower was a little inadequate. You do get some noise outside due to a night club near...

Beds were really comfortable, but our room booked for two could accommodate at least four and had the beds and sofa beds to...

We stayed here two nights in order to visit the Eden Project, a short bus ride away. It is brilliantly located in the heart of the town and just a few minutes walk from the bus and rail stations. Our room was comfortable, easy to heat and with an excellent en-suite shower. We slept well, with secondary glazing keeping out...

We booked in the White Hart for 5 nights and were pleased that we were give a larger room due to the length of our stay. The room was delightful and spacious on the quiet area at the front of the hotel. Staff were always courteous, helpful and accommodating and the food in both the restaurant and bar were always...

We were recommended this hotel for meals and first went in for a bowl of soup around lunch time - Saturday 5th November. Asparagus and Bacon soup, which was obviously home made and creamy with a nice chunk of brown bread. Excellent food. On the basis of the soup, we had dinner in the bar area the following evening (Sunday...

We decided a little late to go and have a roast here, we rang up and although the restaurant was full they opened the function room up as there were a few of us. The roast is amazing value for money and can include dessert. If you are starving the regular roast and dessert will sort that out no problem,...
