Listen...it was clean and freshly painted and carpeted and all that....but a macerator toilet behind bi fold doors and kids beds is not a "superior" room. Food?....ok at best but it ain't the grilled whole fish you see in the advert....much better value in other parts of Kernow.....St Ives for example,

Great view.. tiny tiny bathroom and the door handle came off in my hand every time I tried to get out. Loved the breakfast and the breakfast staff. Found the pub which owns it to be a nightmare for service for loads of reasons when we went there for dinner so we went to the seafood bistro across the street... More

Stayed here for two nights in February. Now owned by the Rashleigh and do you take breakfast there. It was clear that the rooms had only just been decorated and there was a little still to do but very pleasant nevertheless. We had a room at the front with lovely views of the harbour. Quite spacious and very comfortable. There... More

We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed it. The room was immaculately clean, very comfortable and had a beautiful view down to the sea. The breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. The lady who looked after us was delightful and most helpful. Our only concern was the very small bathroom which was fine for me but an average to large... More

Stayed in the 4 Poster Room, booked this room with original owner in January, who showed us all round property, as although we live local wanted to stay here after our Wedding. Property now part of The Rashleigh Arms, which we know is very good as often have a meal there. Room was excellent, very clean, comfortable, bath robes and... More

Stayed in a first floor room in this beautiful Georgian house, which is now run as an annex to the Rashleigh Arms which is just behind it. Our room had clearly been recently redecorated and refurnished and was lovely, even having a view of the sea over the masts of the old sailing ships moored in the harbour. Everything had... More

Rooms 6 & 7 are really for single occupation. The en-suite is located in what appears to be the site of a internal wardrobe, thus the available space makes the facility barely 'Fit For Purpose'! The shower enclosure is very small, less than the normal 30 inches square. Once you leave the enclosure there is insufficient space in which to dry without... More

Apparently, this guest house has recently been taken over by the local pub where you have to go to check i and for breakfast. This gives the guesthouse a less homely feel, perhaps more like a hotel room than staying in someone's house. Room was nice enough. WiFi was non existent.

What a small and lovely town has cropped up around the Charlestown harbor which had three tall sailboats moored there as we passed by! The guest house occupies a prominent position at the top of the harbor and is like a lovely and perfectly maintained frosting on a cake. There's a spot just inside the front door for people to... Impeccable and faultless. This is a beautiful place, and impeccably appointed with with superior fittings and soft furnishings. The whole place appeared spotless and clean. It pays to book a room overlooking the tall ships and port of Charlestown, so go for the four posted bed room, it's worth the extra. Breakfast was lovely and the food sourced, better quality...
