Lovely location with a beautiful garden. Easy access to local tourist places. Not much to do in St Austell so you need to make plans to travel further afield to see the real Cornwall. Rooms were well decorated and had comfortable beds. Good variety of breakfasts.

An attractive well presented inn run by people with an eye for detail. Room and en-suite small but very pleasing, tastefully co-ordinated. Comfortable leather sofas in sitting room and a good bar, large dining room, bright conservatory for breakfast looking out over the very lovely lush gardens. There is a good decked area for seating, a delightful gazebo and (still... More

The staff were very friendly and happy to chat, the restaurant was very comfortable and the menu good with the quality of the food excellent.... More

We stayed 2 nights and had dinner. The rooms are very nice with a very romantic atmosphere. The garden was beeing renovated (the pond) but is very nice with a terrasse. The only negative point is that the road is a bit close, that makes it a little less peaceful than it deserves.

We originally chose The Waterwheel inn because of its location, being close to both the Eden project and the Lost gardens of Heligon but we were very pleased with the excellent accommodation and the fantastic food, both at breakfast and dinner. The gardens are also superb even though they are "a work in progress" by the owners but the highlight... More

Our hosts were very friendly, so too was Kernow. The garden was wonderfully exotic, a great place to sit and chill, and will be even better once the project is complete. The public areas were clean and modern. The toilet area in our bedroom was tight, but for one night not a problem. The full English breakfast was fabulously tasty,... More

We stayed only for one night but it was so lovely I wished we were staying longer! It is decorated lovely, beachy and comforting. I loved how we were allowed to explore to the end of the garden, a nice walk. We had a nice view of the pond from our room as well as a lot of greenery which... More
