We had heard a lot of good things about Smugglers, so decided to drive down to Seaton on the weekend when the sun was shining. First thing we noticed was the beautiful surroundings - the beach is stunning (and larger than expected!!) and the countryside hills are breathtaking. The Inn itself is immaculate, with a lovely atmosphere and even better... More

We visited Seaton last year and called in, well say called in, it was quicker than Clark Kent in a phone box. However it's now under new management and fault it the staff are friendly and go the extra mile! The food is typical pub grub but very nice and good portion sizes. Great value for money very wallet friendly.... More

On a recent holiday to Downderry we visited the smugglers inn on 2 occasions. The staff are friendly and efficient. The food is great value for money and I would recommend it to anyone in the area. Will certainly go back again if in the area.

I'm sitting in the restaurant as I'm typing this and iv been served by a rude young lady with star tattoos down her neck, she has the attitude of a snotty teenager. Asked if we could have just 4 fish fingers on there own for my fussy child and she said well I'll ask the chef but we don't normally... More

Hi Mrlynn, Thanks for your review, we are disappointed to hear you didn't thoroughly enjoy your visit! Unfortunately, the Fish Fingers on the Kids Menu only comes with 3 Fish Fingers and gets served with chips and peas. To avoid confusion and for taking stock; whenever any member of staff takes an order different to that on the menu, company... More

A random visit delight, dropped in for a family bite and we're made very welcome. Had a carvery dinner - massive portion, no skimping here, and real good value too. It's changed hands and they made the difference. If I were a local, it would be my local. Fab thanks

Slightly concerned after reading old reviews, but newer reviews seemed good and realised a change of ownership had happened. Was very warmly welcomed and having dog in tow wasn't a problem. Ham,egg and chips from menu and nut roast and veg from carvery, hot, tasty and well presented. Took chocolate fudge cake and clotted cream as a takeaway. Staff were... More
