My wife and I stayed at the Driftwood in August and thought it was fantastic. The hotel is set up on a hill overlooking a bay and is surrounded by a beautiful garden. The views are just stunning. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and we had the pleasure of looking out to sea from our bedroom window. The... More

This was a return visit to this gem of a very well managed family-run hotel in a stunningly beautiful location. They go the extra mile from the outset, including that extra bit of care and attention when you make your reservation that makes it feel special. As last year, our room was elegantly furnished and very comfortable, and the housekeeping... More

I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful this place is. My partner booked driftwood after it being recommended for my birthday as a surprise. We where greeted by a lovely receptionist who showed us around the hotel answering all our questions. Our table was booked for half past 6, we went down and was greeted by friendly staff who... Very simple relaxed hotel with magnificent views of the unspoilt coast . Bed was fabulous, big and very squishy . Quality of food at breakfast was excellent. Service could not be faulted. Ate in the hotel restaurant one evening food was good but did not feel the need to eat there a second time . There was not a lot... More

Before arriving I was a little concerned as they advertised the room as Small. I was travelling with a friend and this was the only room they had left with twin beds. Prior to arriving I did make a phone call to ascertain how small, and was told it wasn't their biggest room but very pretty. I was a little... More

Booked at short notice and they miraculously had rooms. We've finally found the cornwall hotel to die for. Lovely room, awesome location, amazing food. Peace in bucketloads, even in high summer. Lovely semi private beach - deserted, also in high summer. Just be aware that there isn't an in house alternative to michellin star eating and cost, though good pubs... More

Stayed here as part of a summer holiday, having spent our honeymoon here several years ago. We were in one of the upstairs room in the annex building, accessed directly from the yard. It's sometimes dangerous to revisit somewhere you liked so much last time, but we were not disappointed. The rooms had been kept fresh and contemporary, and every... More

Located on a tranquil clifftop overlooking Nare Head and Portscatho the Driftwood is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a slower pace of life. What can be better than sitting on the decking or on one of the many deckchairs in the garden, all of which are positioned to take full advantage of the beautiful views below. We thoroughly... More

Booked the night for my birthday, & had the most amazing experience. The hotel was everything I would have expected. But the food 'Exceeded our expectations , each & every mouthful. How Chris Eden can produce dishes that not only are outstanding, but you can taste each & every ingredient is nothing short of unbelievable. If it wasn't enough that... More
