This place is absolutely amazing. The best thing about it is the location, perched on a cliff overlooking the sea, it's picture perfect. The gardens are tastefully designed, with perfect little corners to sit around and enjoy the view. The restaurant is one of the best Michelin starred ones we're eaten in, using great local ingredients, perfect flavour combinations and... More

My husband and I stayed here for a few days in August after our daughter's wedding. Beautiful location with stunning views, just the tranquility we needed after the razzamataz of a very large but wonderful wedding! We loved our room , situated just off the restaurant, spacious bathroom large and exceptionally comfortable bed. We like our tea at 6 am... More

We arrived in the early afternoon but this made no difference to the excellent welcome we received , We had a wonderful room( 2) which has double aspect views of the sea and the coast. Unfortunately a bad back did not allow me to make the most of the cooking but what I had was absolutely delicious and subtle. The staff... More

It is not that easy to find good restaurants in Cornwall away from the broader Newquay area. The Driftwood is one of the rare exceptions with a very subtle kitchen focussing on regional Products, an excellent and friendly service and lastly a decent view on the beauties of the Cornish coastline. Additionally the Hotel offers a great range of dishes... More

We stayed two nights at the Driftwood in early August , celebrating a wedding anniversary . The clifftop location , just north of Portscatho , is superb with commanding views south along the Roseland Peninsula and East to Nare Head. The two days were spent walking the Cornish Coast Path. The hotel is well appointed , beautifully decorated throughout ,... More

Booked a 4 night stay at the Driftwood Hotel, with dinner. Checked in and given a helpful tour of facilities - what a great idea, wish all hotels were so thoughtful. The Driftwood is situated in what I think is the most beautiful part of Cornwall, the gardens are amazing - and on several levels where you can sit on... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay and only wished we could have stayed longer. Needless to say, we had two spectacular meals. Not only was the food wonderful but the staff was lovely. Price for the food was really quite reasonable for what you are eating. Not only was dinner a memorable experience but you could say the same... More

Four of the most comfortable nights we have had in a very long time. Couple that with 5 star delicious food and incredibly attentive, helpful and pleasant staff. We thoroughly enjoyed our entire stay on the Rosalind peninsular. To be able to walk for miles from the back door of the hotel on spectacular coastal paths was such a bonus... More

Our whole experience at The Driftwood was everything you could expect from a five star hotel, with the added bonus of being made to feel completely at home in breathtaking surroundings. The views are spectacular, our room (comfortably squishy) had a superb view over the front garden, Portscatho in the distance, rocky outcrops and the sea below. Plenty to explore... More

My wife and I hardly fitted in - staying nearby in our vintage caravan, arriving in something other than a Range Rover or Ferrari, dressed reasonably well, largely thanks to TK Maxx - but the experience of dinner at the Driftwood surpassed that of possibly every other Michelin-starred place in which we have eaten. Perhaps the most impressive aspects of... More
