Lunch for 2 on my birthday was sublime. Pre-starters of fresh crisp tempura squid with a paprika aoli was followed by belly pork and beautiful fresh hake and a must-have indulgent chocolate cake. Great views, really friendly and attentive staff and a very relaxed atmosphere - a steal at the lunchtime fixed price of £25 per head. Will be back... More

My husband and I stayed just one night at St. Enodoc Hotel on the way back from visiting parents. It was a first overnight stay for us in the area. Whilst it is still September it was rainy so we didn't make any use of the extensive grounds. We had a double room (super king bed) with sea view. It... More

This hotel commands superb views across the estuary and surrounding countryside. Spacious, stylish and tranquil rooms with air-conditioning allow for maximum relaxation, when not by the heated pool or on the terrace enjoying a sherbet or three. The food is second to none, cooked to order. Sumptious is the best way of describing the experience. The best of all is... More

Four Australian girls (all over 60!) stayed in this beautiful boutique hotel which had been recommended very highly. It did not disappoint. We had great rooms overlooking the estuary and green fields dotted w grazing cows. The decor was fresh and beachy w very comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. It's very close to Padstow and Port Isaac (for Doc Martin... More

A special family occasion was made all the more special, thanks to a visit to the St Enodoc Hotel. Superb food in a sublimely beautiful location, with wonderful service, made for a memorable meal. No need to say more. Highly recommended.

If you want quality accommodation in the gentle surroundings of Rock rather than the bustle of Padstow, St Enodoc should tick all the boxes. The setting is superb - well worth paying a bit more for a room with an uplifting view of the estuary. Rooms well equipped. The heated outdoor pool (open May to Sept) is a major added... More

Visited for dinner when we discovered that James Nathan had moved from the restaurant at the resort we were staying at. Having dined at James' previous establishment (The Green Room) we were not disappointed with his menu or food at St. Enodoc's. Opted for Gravaladx followed by Beef fillet and finished off with Apple with cinnamon crumble and ice cream.... More

A short break away from it all. This hotel is tucked up on the hill over the camel estuary which provides the most beautiful view to inhale as the day drifts away. The food is as you would expect from such a beautiful place and every attention to detail is addressed from extra crispy bacon, to the warm scones with... More

Went there with my family and had a lovely week - the people are really nice and the swimming pool SO warm. The food was lovely (fantastic breakfasts) and room service was SO fast!! We had a family suite with a kids room with two bunk beds in it which was great fun.

My husband and I had eaten here twice previously when the restaurant was run by Nathan Outlaw. It is now run by the 2008 masterchef winner James Nathan. We both agreed that the food under James was superior. In addition the £25 three course meal was incredible value. We both had the special starter, a piece of gurnard cooked to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A classic seaside hotel re-invented. That's the ethos behind St. Enodoc Hotel in Rock with its emphasis on comfort, design and great food. Positioned above the Camel estuary with sweeping views across the water, it is the perfect place to relax by the sea. Leave the car and walk the few minutes to surrounding sandy beaches and the foot-ferry to Padstow. Award - winning chef Nathan Outlaw is in charge of food. There are two restaurants, the Nathan Outlaw Seafood and Grill and Restaurant Nathan Outlaw, awarded 2 Michelin Stars in January 2011 and currently named as Best Seafood Restaurant in the UK, by Good Food Guide. ... more   less
