We stayed in one of the superior estuary view rooms and we were not disappointed. The room was immaculate, the view was stunning. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. We were made to feel very special and that mean't a lot to us. We ate in the restaurant (James Nathan) and the food was simply wonderful, beautifully... More

Around lunch time we were still not in view of road signs to Padstow, we noticed instead an Hotel sign looking promessing. We follow the signs and we arrived in Rock just opposite Padstow.. but on the other side of the river Camel estuary. We stayed overnight in one spacious with estuary view and we had the opportunity to visit... More

I have stayed at this hotel for many years. Up until last year the kitchen was run/overseen by Nathan Outlaw including his two red rosette fine dining restaurant. He has now moved and has two establishments at Port Issac. The new head chef, James Nathan, is providing quality locally sourced food at reasonable prices (£35.00 for a three courses ).... More

We had stopped a couple of years ago so we expected it to be good and we weren't disappointed. The rooms are simple with quality furnishings we dined the first night and the food is to die for. the sommelier was very helpful Breakfast was the same quality The service and helpfulness of the staff is everything you would wish... Although we knew this hotel had a restaurant offering we didn't know Nathan Outlaw had left and it was now under the watchful eye of James Nathan. It was recommended to us by a local so we decided to pick the worst day of our holiday to trek across to Rock. The ferry is pretty poorly signposted and we were... More

I had eaten here when it had Nathan Outlaw's restaurant but never stayed . We opted for staying at the hotel this year ( having been to Rock for the last 20 + years in Self catered cottages in Porthilly ) What makes this place for me is the laid back and fun attitude of most of the staff. Beth... More

Stayed for three nights recently. What a find ! We were able to take the ferry to Padstow, have a picnic on the beach, walk the coastal paths, visit nearby attractions - and enjoy a wonderful meal in the hotel's restaurant. The hotel was bliss, from the really warm swimming pool to the lovely, air-conditioned room overlooking the estuary (including... More

Had a lovely long weekend, cannot praise enough, fantastic views of the bay. Had a meal in the restaurant which was outstanding. . Staff were all extremely helpful. Rooms were clean & comfortable, air conditioning in room and as it was extremely hot this was very welcome.

Tastefully decorated contemporary rooms and communal spaces with friendly and helpful staff. We had room 114 which has stupendous views over the estuary. With the ebb and flow of the tide, the view was in constant motion and I would certainly recommend paying for a room with that view! It was so lovely we ended up staying for 5 nights... More

Wonderful hotel with fantastic estuary views from the terrace or your room, if chosen an estuary view, and excellent food. A great place to stay and the staff were attentitive and friendly. Our room was lovely and whilst would have benefited from aircon given the unusually hot weather did have a large electric fan as standard. Restaurant staff were professional... More
