We across this gem when my partner and I were planning a trip to the Eden Project. We found Keith and Linda to be great hosts, and the house is quite beautiful. We stayed in the room with the four poster bed (which was enormous), and found the accomodation to be reasonably well maintained (judging from previous reviewers a few... More

Despite arriving very late, we were greeted by Keith with a torch, taken into the house and offered some tea and biscuits. Our rooms were lovely, good size, and provided comfortable sleep and pleasant dreams. The house itself was full of character. Breakfast was served in the conservatory, Keith cooked the breakfast like a top chef, and there was always... More

On our way down to the West Country we stayed here overnight as very close to Eden Project. Beautiful and large room with comfortable 4 poster bed. Keith looked after us with tea on arrival, help with what to do and where to eat. Excellent breakfast. The Manor is situated in lovely grounds with an outside swimming pool which we... More

Extensive research allowed us to find this little gem. Keith & Linda made us feel most welcome from the moment we pulled up at this delightfully situated b & b. It's obvious that our hosts enjoy receiving guests & they provide a first class service within this eclectic property. We've had the privilege of visiting many properties in our travels... More

We were looking for a B&B within walking distance to the Eden Project and we had a fantastic stay. On arrival, Keith met us in the garden and offered us a cup of tea and biscuits after we dropped our bags off to our room. This was beautifully presented and we sat and relaxed in the guest lounge whilst talking... More

A most enjoyable stay in elegant surroundings, well looked after by a genial and informative host! The peaceful location is ideal for a whole range of "tourist must sees". Just a pity the weather wasn't kind enough to encourage us to use the pool and hot tub. Perhaps next time........?

We spent two nights (not long enough!) at this super B&B and are patting ourselves on the back in choosing to stay here. Keith was so welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the enormous Rashleigh Suite - luxury. Delicious breakfast in lovely setting. So lucky to have a swim in the pool and enjoy a glass of wine with our... More

We booked here at our daughter's recommendation - she told us it was quirky and it could certainly be called that! Located not far from the main road, but far enough for peace and quiet to prevail, it is an unusually extended manor house with many interesting features. Our host Keith met us at the garden gate and welcomed us... More

All told, staying at the Nanscawen Manor is more like staying in someone's private house rather than a normal hotel. We found this delightful retreat thanks to the advice of a car park attendant at the nearby Eden Project. The entry off the road comes upon one fairly suddenly, with an uphill narrow drive past rhododendron and camellia, in flower... More

Thank you for your review. You of course were staying in a private house and not a hotel. There are many advantages staying at a b&b as opposed to a hotel. It is personal and friendly and the owners are really happy to have you in their home. If you need help there is generally someone around to help, but... More

A grand old manor house set high up the hill, far back from the road and within a short distance of the Eden Project . Our room was large with views over the valley, a huge four poster bed and all the extras like a spa bath, TV, etc. You can also have the use of the heated pool and... More
