Last minute booking for 10 plus 3 little people to celebrate early my partners 40th birthday with family. Mounts Bay where more than accommodating. The food was beautiful and all came out piping hot. Portion sizes where more than plentiful, full stomachs all round Thank you
Enjoyed the Sunday lunch as a group of six. Choose meat (one or two of Beef, Pork and Turkey options, or veggie nut roast option. Hot and plentiful. Veggies come in side dish including diving creamed swede with plenty of cream, cauliflower cheese, carrots and peas. Extra gravy and sauces provided on request. Very good value for money £12 each. Desserts great too. Enjoyed the Banoffee waffle. Friendly pub with pool table. Lots of seating both outside and inside. We didn't stay at the hotel.
This is a small town with lovely people. The bed was comfy. The shower was hot. The staff treated me great, however, did close the bar early on me one night since I was the only one there playing pool and drinking after a long long day of site seeing and people watching throughout Cornwall.
You let yourself in by collecting your key from the entrance lobby. Simply furnished (but tasteful) and modern room (we were in one of the attic rooms) with a sea view, large bathroom and very clean. We dined there that evening - delicious food and the service was great. Breakfast was fabulous and again, lovely, friendly service. The hotel is in a really good location in the village with a short walk to the beautiful cove. Definitely would stay there again.
We had a delicious Sunday lunch here - we would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. The staff were really friendly. They were able to accommodate special requests and had vegetarian & vegan options on the options. We will be back next time we visit. thanks
The hotel is well located within mullion and ideal for coastal walking. The room was clean and comfortable and had a wonderful views of mounts bay. The breakfast was disappointing - not all items were available (hogs pudding or a choice of cooked eggs) and the kitchen had issues with their oven on the first morning. The coffee was cold and the breakfast bar was not replenished. The Waitress seemed embarrassed and spent most of the time apologising and the chef could be heard swearing in the kitchen. I had booked the hotel based on their menu on their website. My husband and I could not eat at the restaurant the first night as the oven wasn’t working and they already had a lot of bookings on a very reduced menu. The second night was disappointing. The menu on the website and the outside board was not the same as the very basic menu that was provided to us. I had scampi and it was dry and all oven cooked. My husband had the Hake - fish of the day which was nice but nothing special. The bar/waiting staff were not friendly. The beer garden remained very noisy till late at night. We will not return to this hotel and wouldn’t recommend if you are choosing a venue based on a good breakfast and good restaurant.…
The most amazing service from Lucy and Saba. I’d walked 20 miles along the SWCP got drenched ended up here . They dried my clothes fed me watered me and kept me entertained. Can’t recommend them high enough . Love them. Love the pub. If you get the chance come here
Booked a meal for two. It was empty, but we sat and ordered drinks and food...waited 20 minutes and had to go and find the waiter.....he said he couldn't serve us the drinks and what we ordered from the menu was in fact unavailable... What can you say?
Of the night, this was by far our greatest experience of the night. The woman behind the bar was extremely welcoming, informative and helpful. We only stopped for a drink and a couple of games of pool. Definitely recommend a visit. We will be visiting again.
We were attending an event in Mullion and were delighted to find accommodation at this newly renovated inn. Our room was quite large with comfortable bed and lots of wardrobe space though the bathroom was fairly tiny. Best of all was the view. When places mention 'sea view' you can bet that they mean a tiny glimpse of the sea. This was a real sea view stretching before us and out to the nearby headland. We didn't have dinner at the inn but the breakfasts were great - full Cornish much recommended.
