Always visit here when staying in Trenance, short walk down the hill and back up later! Staff always very welcoming and friendly. Very dog friendly. We usually just drink here after a good day out exploring but also ate here for our anniversary this time. Specials on the board are changed regularly and there is also a menu ( not...

Really great atmosphere with plenty of people taking advantage Decor is good with open bar restaurant that whilst busy didn't become really noisy Steak special was good with choices of sauces perfectly cooked with good accompanying sides Typical bar puddings and ice creams Good value for money with a bottle of wine as part of the deal Highly recommend

My wife and I stayed here for one night, Great place to stay, Very pleasant helpful staff. The room was lovely and a great hot tub bath (very nice touch). The tea/coffee facilities in the room excellent with added bonus of hot chocolate and cookies. I like these little touches. Don't cost a lot but so adds to the experience....

My husband, four children and I ate here this afternoon. We all had the carvery... The meat was VERY good... Gammon tasty and tender, and the beef tender and juicy. I must admit that the quality of the veg on a carvery is a deal breaker for me, and The Merrymoor nailed it! The cauliflower cheese was the not the...

This is a delightful family - run hotel which I have stayed in many times over the years. In recent times has improved even more with the extensive modernisation bringing it bang up to date to suit all tastes and budgets. Long may it prosper !

We stayed locally and visited the Merrymoor for drinks and food. Food was great with lovely attentive staff 👍 only fault was the white wine - Viognier (worst we've tasted) and Sav Blanc wasn't much better either. Shame really! Would have been 5 stars ✨ However, it wouldn't and didn't stop us visiting again. The Tarquins gin was superb and...

We've been lucky enough to be eat and drink here for years and it's never a disappointment. Went for Sunday lunch today and it was excellent. Really friendly staff, fresh local ingredients, an amazing ocean front location and great value.

Popped in for a drink early new year eve evening, friendly welcome and allowed us sit at a reserved table as their reserved guests were not due until later. Doombar was very good. Well kept. The girls loved their G&T glasses. Doesn't look great from the outside. The inside exceeded expectations.

I visited this restaurant for my birthday with my family, party of 10. We arrived early and were made to feel very unwelcome, the restaurant was quiet and thought we would be welcome to sit and have drinks before we ordered. The whole experience was unpleasant and felt we were an inconvenience. The two young ladies serving were so miserable...

We stayed at Morgan Porth for three nights. After a long drive from our previous stop, we walked to the inn and were warmly welcomed and seated straight away. The restaurant is very comfortable and nicely furnished, with seats around the bar as well. The staff are excellent - friendly, helpful and attentive. The meal prices were good and the...
