Me and my wife called in to the Royal Oak when passing through, the pub and restaurant was already bustling with people, and the very nice waitress told us to grab a seat. We then decided to go for the Carvery, and have to say couldn't fault it in anyway, great 3 choice meat selection, FRESH veg and all piping... More

Well this is the 3rd time I have stayed in this beautiful little b&b. There are many reasons I keep coming back. Firstly the fantastic friendly staff that make you feel at home from the moment you walk in the door. Great rooms, I have stayed in room 6 and room 1 and I could not fault either. Fantastic breakfast.... More

Beautiful food and the staff are always happy. The pub is a relaxed atmosphere and you don't feel pushed to move. I would recommend the soup or burgers. It is one of the better pubs to eat at ijn Lostwithiel.

Stayed the night whilst on business. It was clean, tidy, a proper pub. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice and clean. The staff were attentive and nothing seem to be too much trouble. I ate in the pub that night, it was fairly busy for a Tuesday night. There were a couple of veggie options which included... More

Royal Oak has had many ups and downs over the last 30 years. The current owners are doing a great job and deserve to be successful. We ate here twice in the last month and both were great experiences. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is good. They have not tried to go over the top with really... More

Thank you for your lovely review and we are so pleased that you enjoyed your visits to The Oak. You are quite right when saying the pub has had its ups and downs, we have certainly heard some horror stories ourselves. Good news is we purchased the freehold last November and we are here to stay. So no changes expected.... More

My wife & I are currently staying at the Royal Oak Inn for a couple of days.. Out room is well appointed & clean. The bar is lively & has a good range of beers, ales & wines. Our evening meal ( beef bourguignon / chilli con carne) was delicious & well presented, as were the deserts. I would happily... More
