Situated next to the Hurlers and Cheesewring on Bodmin Moor, this pub is welcoming and cosy with a lovely log stove. The menu has plenty of choice and the food is good and very generous. Locals and visitors make for a lively ambience.

We met up with friends for lunch at The Cheesewring this week. We knew nothing about it before we went there and were delighted with both the delicious home made food we ate and the excellent service we were given. It was a thoroughly enjoyable, relaxing lunch. Next time we go there we will explore the area with our dogs...

This pub is in the next village so we thought we would go and visit. We booked a table as a Saturday night, as they advertise live entertainment so we thought it would be busy. We were running a bit late, so telephoned and that was no problem for them to hold our table. When we arrived we were escorted...

After one of my favourite walks we went to the pub at 2.15 and asked if they were still doing food. The answer was ''yes if we were quick to order''so we ordered our drinks and sandwiches and can't say anything else but the food was brilliant. We all enjoyed our sandwiches which came with chips , homemade coleslaw and...

We stayed at the Cheesewring Hotel a couple of weeks ago. The room was spacious, comfortable and very clean with a lovely en-suite shower room. The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The breakfast is probably the best we've ever had in a B & B and the meals are absolutely superb in both quantity and quality from...

They provided us with a roast meal with 3 choices and a variety of puddings, it was fantastic food at a great price. The service was excellent as it always is whenever you visit. We would highly recommend coming here. Thank you...

Been here many times for a meal, today I took my dad to The Cheesewring for his 86th birthday, he loved it, one of the few places he really enjoys lunch. The roast dinner was faultless, two small lamb roasts for mum and dad and a beef for me which was cooked to perfection - the beef just melted in...

On a sunny bank holiday Sunday we made a snap decision to take a walk on Bodmin Moor. Phoned to book a lunch and the very helpful staff managed to fit us in on a busy day. Sunday roast in two sizes - great value. Or, if you prefer, the everyday menu on too. Lunch arrived in record time. Great...

A fantastic 4 nights based here with friends from Kent while we completed a local 'challenge'. A very warm welcome from Gary and the crew, an excellent kept cellar (very much appreciated each evening after a long day) and a great choice menu which would have kept us happy for very many more evenings ensured we looked forward to returning...

“It is in a quiet area so all rooms are quiet. You have to be aware that on a Saturday night with the live music it is not quiet then, However we joined in and really enjoyed it. Signal for wifi was not good when we stayed.”
