I was staying in this area to attend a course, so needed privacy, quietness and comfort. All of this was provided and I managed a beautiful evening walk through beautiful rural scenery. The room was lovely, with all mod cons, and the breakfast was really a feast!!

Boo & Matt are excellent hosts. They treat people that stay like family. Brekkie around a big round table gets everyone to know each other and leads to great discussions. Beds are super comfortable and the place is very clean. Wi fi is good. Brekkie is cooked to order - if you are lucky you will get an egg from...

The best choice you can do. Fantastic room, delicious breakfast, 100% kindness. Making a little trip whith auto you can arrive to a near train station for visiting St. Ives without Parkinson's problem. Why search in other sites?

We came to stay for a few days at the end of August to catch some waves and sunshine. We booked a day before journeying down from Yorkshire and so glad we did! This is the perfect little Cornish B&B with such friendly hosts Matt and Boo. The place is very quiet and quaint and has everything you need for...

We stayed at Bostrase for 4 nights and had a great experience. Matt and Boo were the best hosts you could wish for and the breakfasts were to die for. The room was amazing and on par with a 5* hotel. The hosts made attention to detail with the addition of the most luxurious towels, teas, coffee and biscuits in...

Boo & Matt are the perfect hosts. Breakfast was a high spot, fabulous breakfast and great conversation with Matt Boo and the other guests around the large breakfast table. The B&B is set in a beautiful location and the toms are lovely and overlook open farm land. Excellent B&B

This was our second time staying at Bostrase in the last 12 months and we had a wonderful time once again. Since our last visit, the bedrooms have been remodelled and the room we stayed in this time (which I understand to be the largest - top of the stairs, turn right) was stunning. The bed was huge! Even so,...

The other reviews say it all really - lovely location, food, hosts, rooms, service etc. All I can add is it felt like staying with family ! It was a very sociable, relaxed experience & there is just so much to do in this area. Happily our stay coincided with a heatwave ! Thank you Boo & Matt

The location is slightly out of town but that adds to the charm as the setting is really wonderful. Great hosts in Matt and Boo who always have time for you and love to point out things to do and see. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay there again and have no problem recommending to others. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to Boo & Matt's place, Bostrase, a traditional Cornish Country cottage, only a mile from St Ives Bay. It is a superb location, whether away for a business or pleasure, with easy access to the A30. In a secluded valley, heading away from busy roads, Bostrase is perfect for that 'get away from it all' feeling and peaceful nights sleep. Originally built in 1830 as farm labourers cottages, some of our walls are 70cm thick. Being a cottage, our rooms are not huge, it is all about our comfy beds, relaxed surroundings and up to date facilities in a home, full of character. Each bedroom has it's own style, but your comfort is our main priority. Bostrase is situated on the grounds, of the estate, originally owned by the Trevithick family. Richard Trevithick being the inventor of the Cornish boiler and many other steam related inventions. Our very own spring water, is pumped a 140 feet from under ground, goes through a filtration system and is tested every year to pass Council standards. We benefit from additive free drinking water, from every room In the house and not many people, are lucky enough to shower and bathe, in pure spring water. We have ample parking, for all our guests, to come and go as they please, if considerately parked. When checking our location, you will see that we are ideally located for exploring all that Cornwall has to offer. A mile to St Ives Bay on the North coast, home to Godrevy lighthouse and a colony of Grey seals. Only 6 miles to Mounts Bay on the south coast, home to St Michaels Mount. Less than 20 miles from Lands End, the most Westerly point of the mainland and the most Southerly point of the mainland, The Lizard. The city of Truro being 30 minutes, to the East. A vast range of scenery, from golden sandy beaches over 3 miles long, renowned worldwide for the surfing and old mining engine houses, desperately clinging to rugged cliff sides, trying to escape the relentless Atlantic sea. Lighthouses used to warn seafarers of dangerous rocks. Fishing villages with pretty harbours and we have, sheltered wooded valleys with picturesque estuaries. There are a multitude of gardens, from subtropical to sculpture. Castles and mines to explore and art galleries galore. It doesn't get much better than that, the best of everything. Have fun finding your favourite place in Cornwall. ... more   less
