Stayed for four nights in a sea view suite (room 8) which had a small external balcony with good views of the sea. Room was well appointed and the suite was perfect for relaxing after a day out or returning from the beach. Staff whilst young were all very polite and attentive and were genuinely interested to ensure we were looked after. Breakfast in the COVID world worked well and the food was well presented and good service. Varied dinner menu and all dishes were well presented and great quality with some reasonably priced wines to accompany. Specials, mainly seafood were excellent. Outside areas are really relaxing, quiet and perfect for a cocktail or having a cream tea. One observation / feedback was given so many fish dishes / specials there were no fish knives offered or available when requested. Beautiful location and great hotel for a relaxing holiday.

We stayed here for two nights and it was lovely the staff are very attentive although still restrictions in place. The terrace at the back was a lovely place to catch the sun with a sea view. Room was very nice and had coffee tea making facilities, room safe, dressing table with mirror above which was very welcome. We booked a seaview room but it was a bit to the side which was a bit disappointing we had booked a deluxe double with seaview. There are rooms with balconies which would have been ideal. All the food has been excellent. All in all a very nice hotel a short walk from nice beaches and coastal walks with wonderful staff

We visited the restaurant for a three course meal during our stay in Gorran Haven and the food was amazing - my boyfriend said it was the best fish he has ever eaten (and he’s a fisherman so he’s sampled a fair few!!). The staff were friendly and very attentive throughout which made it a lovely experience. There was a slightly awkward moment when two members of staff followed us out of the hotel when we left and asked us if we’d paid (we had left cash in full on the table rather than pay by card) - I’m heavily pregnant so running off without paying wouldn’t even be a possibility haha! But overall a definite place to visit for great food if in the area.

through the Daily Telegraph. A pleasant sea view room but lacked a sofa. With hindsight we should have upgraded to a suite at little extra cost. Beyond that a clean and comfortable room. Small fridge to keep that cheeky BYO cool. Overall a most pleasant small hotel nicely appointed, modern clean decor in a delightful village and beautiful location. Comfortable lounge area which we sadly abandoned due to intrusive piped music when trying to read and got chilly. Lovely young team. 5 stars for dinner, 3 for breakfast. Dinner well prepared and to an excellent standard apart from the chips. Tap water without prompting brought to the table. Wine prices very reasonable not inflated "hotel" numbers. Decent paper napkins, proper cruet sets. It's the little things that make the difference. Breakfast did not always meet the standards of dinner; omelette and pancakes heavy.
