through the Daily Telegraph. A pleasant sea view room but lacked a sofa. With hindsight we should have upgraded to a suite at little extra cost. Beyond that a clean and comfortable room. Small fridge to keep that cheeky BYO cool. Overall a most pleasant small hotel nicely appointed, modern clean decor in a delightful village and beautiful location. Comfortable lounge area which we sadly abandoned due to intrusive piped music when trying to read and got chilly. Lovely young team. 5 stars for dinner, 3 for breakfast. Dinner well prepared and to an excellent standard apart from the chips. Tap water without prompting brought to the table. Wine prices very reasonable not inflated "hotel" numbers. Decent paper napkins, proper cruet sets. It's the little things that make the difference. Breakfast did not always meet the standards of dinner; omelette and pancakes heavy.

Booked a night away at the hotel on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal via Secret Escapes. Despite only living approximately 25 miles away we’re not overly familiar with this area and are definitely interested in seeing more. We were delighted with our huge room that was tastefully decorated. We struggled to choose from the menu as there was so many lovely things on it. We were not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The staff were friendly and helpful and delivered excellent service. We were also impressed by the cleanliness and measures in place to reduce contact due to COVID. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Stayed for two nights including a three course meal both nights. The room was very spacious, large comfortable bed with good facilities. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. The fiid both evenings was very good cannot fault it. Had a short wait for our room to be cleaned which seemed a bit odd. Overall a very pleasant experience.

This hotel is down a small road and just when you think you are on the wrong road, the hotel appears on your left. Easy parking , easy check in , lovely friendly receptionists explained where everything was in the hotel. Checked we had got dinner and breakfast booked and directed us to our room . The room was huge, the only thing I would change was to put a sofa in it, as we were there Tuesday to Saturday it would have been nice to have somewhere else to chill out other than small single arm chair. There was a restaurant area as well as area for sitting with a drink or lunch and a separate breakfast room. As a pescatarian I was impressed with the variety of dishes on the menu . Bottle of wine started at £19 and the local cider was pretty good too (rattler) breakfast was on a pre order form but good selection and great quality. Short walk to the beach down a steepish tarmac road. We did attempt the south coast walk but it was too muddy so will just have to come back to the hotel and stay again . I loved this hotel, the quality, staff, cleanliness... views , location were all outstanding..
