Had very high expectations for The Sunday House. This property was certainly quirky and theatrical. It was extremely clean and was very well equipped, however I think it may not be frequented too often as it did have a rather closed up musty smell. The lovely little village of Golant was gorgeous, but unfortunately no amenities besides the Pub, however... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sunday House which was very well equipped. The facilities were excellent and there was plenty of room for our family, ages ranging from 3 to 72. The bonus of each adult bedroom having its own en suite was really good. Shame about the Cornish weather, but we still had a good time.

A party of 6 adults and 1 child. We stayed for the first week in August. Every thing was more than we expected, first class facilities and perfect peace. (No mobile phone signal) but good Wi-Fi. The bedrooms are a good size and the lounge has ample room for everyone. The information pack we received was very helpful and help... More

We stayed for 3 nights and were a group of 9. We drove from London in two cars. Although there is one space for a car in the garage, we parked the other car right outside the garage and there was no problem. If your car doesn't fit, then parking it near the pub should be no problem either (as... More

We drove down from Sussex and arrived late at night at the Sunday House. Turning off of the main road we drove down a steep lane covered by trees and arrived in the sleepy fishing village called Golant. If Bilbo Baggins had walked up the road I would not have been surprised. Golant is the sort of place where the... More

We arrived at the Sunday House just as Cornwall was experiencing some it's worst floods in years. The torrent of water running down the tiny road to the village had us slightly concerned that our stay in a riverside cottage might not be such a good idea, but once we set foot inside The Sunday House, this was quickly forgotten.... A family of 7 with 2 toddlers and a little baby stayed for a week in August and loved it. It's very atmospheric, comfortable, spacious and everything that we needed was there. To be quite honest, it's perhaps not ideal for those with toddlers because there are quite a lot of stairs but, having stayed before, we just knew to... More

We booked the Sunday House for a family reunion In Cornwall. All members of the family, young and old, were impressed with the house. The kids loves the children's room and there was enough space for 6 adults to co-exist without falling out. The house was well presented and had the wow factor with high ceilings, an old organ and... My husband and I rented the Sunday house along with a group of our friends over the bank holiday weekend. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The house was beautiful, every room unique and decorated to the highest standards. The house was fully stocked with everything we needed. It even had lovely touches like warm bathrobes... More
