The Liscawn is set in beautiful countryside and is a lovely old building. I visited last week when going to an event at the nearby naval base (which is only a 10 minute drive away). We had dinner in the hotel both nights and it was really good, traditional food very well done. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were... More

This hotel is a great place to stay with comfortable rooms and great food. The only thing not the best is the power showers but then that is the case all over England. Would stay again just to have that huge breakfast again.

The hotel stands alone in a most attractive countryside location and had a wonderfully relaxed feel. We enjoyed a large ensuite room (Rm 5) with a beautiful natural stone wall and a superbly comfortable bed. The restaurant was excellent: fresh food slzzling on a hot slate platter and cheerful, attentive service. Parking could not be easier. One small downside: the... More

I booked for my wedding band and they all had a great time! Very accommodating staff despite the fact my guests were all totally pissed all the time! Didn't stay myself but have had great feedback!!!!

All hotels in Plymouth were full so I had to go further afield. Glad I did. I will be back. This is a lovely hotel, clean, tidy, friendly staff, tasty food. I had to leave early, prior to breakfast being served, so they even left me a packed breakfast out.

Stopped in one rainy afternoon and was delighted that they had gluten-free scones served with delicious clotted cream and jam. Lady serving the bar area was really friendly and helpful. Nice place to relax.

Friendly comfortable small hotel. Really good food and a decent real ale. Lovely setting in wooded grounds, with views down the valley that really sets off the hotel. All the staff are really helpful and informative. Cant recommend this place highly enough. Will certainly stay again.

Great staff very courteous, very nice en-suite rooms, dog friendly (mine slept in her cage in the room) really good food at reasonable prices, good beer again reasonably priced, peaceful the only sound was owls, wood pigeons and a farmer ploughing a field. Well worth a stay
