We stayed the night in Torpoint recently as my step son was passing out in the Navy at HMS Raleigh, so we travelled down from Cardiff. I always check out local pubs/inns/restaurants on trip adviser prior to going anywhere new. Finnygook was number 1, so we felt we had to try it for ourselves, so reserved a table. So glad... More

Nice character inside the pub and the food is of a good average standard, good sized portions, good flavour and value for money. Will definitely fill you up. Service was ok staff were friendly. Have been there twice now.

This pub had it all. The best lobster I have ever had, a comfortable room and even though we were only staying the one night a great table in the restaurant. The room a twin had space and character was very clean and it had a bath which was just what you need after a walk from Looe.

A large pub with small rooms. Ours had one of those hand held shower contraptions. Never got on with those! Nothing really bad about the place. The beers good. The food is very good. The staff are all friendly. If you're arriving by car or bike then there's a huge car park. There's plenty of space to spread about in... More

My wife and I had a perfect two night stay here in mid May. Nice, simple room but very comfortable and ours had a cracking view across the river to Dartmoor in the distance. Breakfast was delicious, great beers from the bar and the food in the evening was very tasty - have the fish pie! All the staff that... More

This is a traditional country pub in the village of Crafthole in the "forgotten corner" of Cornwall. It is half a mile from the sea at Portwrinkle. Satnavs will take you to the small, and uninspiring, rear of the building but a short drive around the corner will take you to the larger main car park and attractive frontage. Downstairs... More

Stayed for one night whilst attending a friends wedding nearby. Rooms were of a poor standard with dog hairs found on the small dressing table and to stand. There was also a strong smell of dog in the corridors leading up to the room. The bathroom was also poor with a terrible shower that either scalded you or gave you... More

Stayed 2 nights in March, so a quiet time. Good, clean, reasonably priced room. Good breakfast.(lovely Cornish butter). Attentive and friendly staff. Great evening meal - fish pie totally delicious. Great location for moor and coastal access.

Came across this pub on a walk. Both had great meals. Fish pie was very tasty, burger was excellent and the horse radish ketchup to go with the chips very nice and different. Good beer, friendly service will come back.

I came with my family for a Sunday roast, treating our Canadian daughter-in-Law to a traditional meal. My wife and I had the chicken liver pate; it was extremely tasty, while the chutney and side salad complimented it perfectly. While my wife had roast lamb I had roast pork; the lamb was well done (just as my wife likes) and... More
