A friendly and relaxing hotel and a great breakfast. I will stay here when I next visit the area. I arrived late and I was shown to my room by the host even though it was late and he had had a long day. We chatted for ages.

The Countryman would have got 5 stars but for one big and one small problem. The fact that the hotel is a bit threadbare mattered little to us, the fact that we couldn't make our selves a hot drink on arrival does (small problem), the fact we couldn't shower on arrival and in the morning was calamitous! (only VERY hot... More

Stayed just for one night, the owner it's very friendly and helpful and tries to make your stay in the area a good one. The place it's a bit old fashion but it's very traditional and remainded me about my grandma house.. It's very clean and they do they're best with what they have and I totally recommend to everyone.

A good place to stay and very traditional. The beds are comfortable and clean though the carpets are a bit old. The staff was very helpful. the food was very good and fresh. would stay there again whenever i drop by.

I stayed in this hotel one night. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. However, in the main entrance the carpet smell very bad. Fortunately, the carpet in the room didn't smell, but it looked very old. The breakfast was very good-fresh ingredients and very well cooked. Will be staying again if they change the carpet!

The Countryman Hotel is a very traditional English hotel / B&B. The hotel is very clean but feels a bit old (the smell in the reception area isn't very nice). The rooms are very clean and there is no funny smell. I had a single room with shared bathroom which was very clean as well. Rick is extremely friendly and... More

We had a lovely two days in the countryman hotel, Mick the owner gives you really a warm welcome, and tells a lot about the area, places to see and where you can get a good meal. Breakfast is great, everything you need. Clean and spacious room.
