We popped to Boscastle in between the rain, quick walk and on the way back decided to have lunch, we hadn’t booked but the staff were very accommodating and found us one of their last tables. The carvery was delicious lots of lovely fresh veg - mashed swede, carrots, red cabbage, cabbage, mashed parsnips, roast pots and of course meat! A proper tasty treat We forgot to tip the welcoming, friendly, nothings too much trouble staff, they deserved one, we’d like to say a BIG thank you for making a very enjoyable lunch stop.

We came here for lunch. The kids had a hot meal and we had sandwiches. The food was really lovely and fresh, the girls ate all their lunches up (never happens!) and our food was great. The portion sizes were good and the coffee was great. The staff were really friendly and helpful and it was very clean. The menu had plenty of choice and the place itself is in a great location, we had a lovely table overlooking the river. It looks like you can also sit outside in a garden area by the river in the summer to, which I imagine is lovely! If we ever go to Boscastle again we will make a return trip to here, it was a really good find!

Perfect location, perfect rooms, perfect food, perfect staff. We have eaten here numerous times when in Boscastle and stayed twice at the Riverside. Can honestly say there is no where nicer I would like to stay. Warm friendly welcome, staff who are so friendly and attentive. Beautiful very clean spacious room, with a view of the river and harbour that has you mesmerised. Well deserved breakfast award. Atmosphere in restaurant for dinner was very relaxed, the food can easily match that of other top restaurants in the area. Great menu to choose from, plentiful portions and exceptional quality. Highly recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed!
