Clocked in on a very last minute 5 day break, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was excellent. So many breakfast options, including kippers, smoked salmon plus the usual, including full English. Couldn't have chosen a better hotel in this small, friendly area. So many great locations to visit from here ..

Had dinner here with family on Sunday evening. We all ate well, food tasty and well presented. Staff very helpful. Lovely setting in cosy restaurant. My husband enjoyed his steak, which was cooked as he likes it. Plenty of choice on the menu. My only slight moan, would of been nice to of had some fresh fruit with my meringue...

Booked one night here on our way home, room was excellent and very comfortable. We had a double that looked out to the stream. The room was nicely decorated and the en suite bathroom was large, clean and had an excellent shower. The breakfast set us up for the trip home. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay here...

Thank you for your review. We see that you are an active Trip Advisor critic only posting two reviews, both for us, with one in October 2016 and one in March 2017. It is disappointing that on both occasions you express your dissatisfaction with our Sunday Carvery and vow never to return again. We hold our Carvery each week offering...

We stayed here when walking the South West Coast path and arrived tired and with very sore feet after a spectacular (but long) days walking. The welcome couldn't be faulted and we were soon restored and ready for the next day. All the staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and we even got a lift...

Ate at The Riverside twice during the course of a long weekend break. Both times my wife and I were very impressed with the quality of the food and the excellent service we received from everyone there. Not only that the food was excellent value for money. Highly recommended if you're in the area.

If you like a quirky place which mixes the old with the new this may be for you. Our room needed some serious investment and it did not help that we chose a bitterly cold weekend to stay. the en suite was very big buy the radiator was not functioning.

A cold blustery day on the West coast. Arrived for coffee first. Freshly brewed and homemade shortbread. Lovely. A walk along the coast towards Tintagel. Rugged, a real challenge, but spectacular. Then back for lunch. Two cod and chips. Nice chunky fillets, very tasty. Good portion of thick chips. Only slight downside was the batter on my fish could have...
