We have been coming to this Hotel for the last few years no issues until this year. We were there for a week a couple weeks ago and first the room keys are in a lock box on the door on the outside because typically no one is in the office we got in the room the room seemed nice at first. The mattresses were old with no mattress covers, very thin sheets on each bed. My grandson found someone else’s trash from Target in the drawer in the table between the bed and a zip lock freezer bag in the dresser drawer. We had checked in on Monday night with two adults and three children in the room. They supplied towels and wash cloths but when they were used no clean towels were brought in we had to take the dirty towels and wash clothes to the laundry room and throw them in a bin ourselves. We had asked the one lady that we assumed was a house keeper (we only saw 2) during that week to please bring in clean towels while we were gone but when we returned they had locked the laundry room no staff was on the premises so no clean towels or wash clothes were provided. On Thursday after we came back from being out we had no water in the room we tried to track down a staff member. Finally we found 1 person which told us they would go to the office and see what the issue was. She never returned. I walked to the office and it was a number on the door to call in case of emergencies so we called that number and was told by a lady with very broken English that water would be in within two hours. Four hours later we called back and walked back to the office because by that time the few people that were staying there were trying to get In touch with someone to find out how long it would be before we had running water. They were it would be a few more hours or possibly morning. We called her back and told her that we would like to get a refund for the night and go someone else and was told that she didn’t think that having no water was a problem. She was asked how we were supposed to shower or how were three children supposed to use the bathroom again she didn’t see a problem and said someone was there working on the lines. When we told her we were there and no one was working on the lines she hung up on us and they refused to answer the phone again. Finally about an hour later someone shows up to fix the water. They had people checking in after driving hours and wasn’t even gonna tell them they had to running water. Never again will I stay at this place. These people only care about the money and do not care about the people that they have staying there. They place needs to be closed. The health department needs to be called and that place needs to be inspected because there is no way it is up to code. My advise to anyone that comes across this website is pass it up. The view is amazing g but it isn’t worth it. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I’m sure this will generate the generic we are sorry for your experience reply from management ! Keep it you need to be closed down !!!

No onsite staff, No service, HORRIBLE smoke/Pot smell several nights from rooms below us. Called help desk numerous times with no assistance and no compensation, Barely any hot water lukewarm at best. Nasty rooms. ONLY reason we stayed 2n night was because we couldnt find any other place. A place like this should not be allowed to operate in America.

My daughter and I recently spent Memorial Day Weekend (2022) at the Harvest Drive Family Inn. Check-in requires that you call the number listed, and you will be given the code for the key lock box to your room. The room was spacious and clean, with plenty of towels available. All the necessities, TV, air conditioning, hair dryer, etc., were available. Parking is available at your door. If you need a change of linen, call the number listed and someone will change linens and replenish towels when needed. If there is a downside to this it's the lack of WiFi. Our phones have unlimited data, but having the option of connecting to WiFi would have been nice. The scenery is beautiful, with rolling farm hills, cattle, and silos all around. Occasionally, an Amish horse and buggy drove by. Be warned: Many of them do not like to have their photos taken. Be respectful. I've taken photos, but at an angle where the occupant(s) could not be seen. There was little traffic on Harvest Drive, and a fair amount of buggies. Sunsets and sunrises are incredible when it's not raining! If you're looking for something to do, check out the Kitchen Kettle Village. The prices are pretty low (compared to Massachusetts). You can also visit Hershey Park, which is about a 45-minute drive from the hotel. A bit further is the Gettysburg National Cemetery and National Military Park. The cemetery can easily be walked, but again, be respectful. If you're not up for a lot of walking, the Military Park offers an Auto Tour, allowing visitors to see all of the battlefields in Gettysburg. If you're looking for a good meal, be sure to check out the Smokehouse BBQ and Brews and Bird-in-Hand Family Restaurant & Smorgasbord in - wait for it - Bird in Hand. The staff at both establishments are friendly and the food is incredible at a good price. I'm sure there's much more to see, but we were there for a three-day visit. I would happily stay at the Harvest Drive Family Inn again.

Stayed over Memorial Weekend (2022) and this was a great base for Lancaster (town), outlet malls, Amish country, and the surrounding area. Hotel is in a very peaceful location, great country views, and wonderful sunsets. COVID protocols and no-cantact protocols were in place. front desk very accommodating and helpful. Basic, clean and quiet. Perfect for us.

Let me start off by saying I used to stay here ALL THE TIME when I was a little girl. We would take big family trips together and always stayed at Harvest Drive. Being nostalgic to me, I thought it would be a great idea to stay here for my kids first trip to the Amish Country. Bad idea. 1st, my parents arrived to check in around 730/8 at night when apparently there was no one at the front desk. Ok fine, there is a number to call on the door if you arrive when the office is closed. only problem with that is NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE NUMBER!! My parents left several messages and were only ever able to check in and get to their room AFTER ALMOST AN HOUR trying to get through to someone because another person (1 car out of literally 7 others trying to check in as well) got through on the line and passed their phone around to everyone else who couldn't get through. It was so bad that 2 cars literally turned around and left they must've went somewhere else. so great job Harvest Drive on losing money because you don't want to hire someone to be at the desk 24 hrs? not a smart business move. So that was strike 1...strike 2 comes when it is my turn to arrive. I arrived around 3:30/4 and there was in fact someone in the office. I got to my room no problem. Got inside and situated, everything looked great. it looked clean and felt like the nostalgia I was looking for on this trip. Then I went to turn the AC on being that is was going to be 96 the next day and 93 the day after that, to find an error code of E8. So no AC. then I notice the smoke alarm is missing off of the ceiling? are there no safety checks for that? the pushing point to get me out of that room was the dead bug I found between the bed and nightstand and the clumps of dust and old bottle caps under the bed. I guess they don't clean where you can't see. The next morning I went into the office and spoke with the manager (She is the only reason this review is even getting 3 stars) She was extremely accommodating and helpful. she got me into a new room right away. STRIKE 3...I go into the new room. AC works great, smoke alarm is installed where it should be. BUT DISGUSTINGLY dirty in the bathroom. I couldn't even begin to guess when the last time the shower was SCRUBBED as it should be. The playground set is the same playground set as I played on 25 years ago, falling apart no ladder the only way up to the top to play is by climbing up the slide. WHICH I TEACH MY KIDS NOT TO DO. so for them to play, I had to go against my own teachings because Harvest Drive doesn't feel the need to update their 30+ year old playset with a new one. My kids are small (3 & 7) and when they were on the one swing, it literally rocked the entire set. it's only a matter of time before that collapses and I really hope no children are playing on it when it does. I do not recommend staying here until they do more than cosmetic updates. Staff your lobby 24/7 and fix what is broken/outdated. CLEAN UNDER THE BEDS and scrub the showers. I am telling you I will never stay here again and either will anyone else in my family. we'll be going to Hershey Farms next time. I suggest anyone reading this does the same.

I was with a group of 32 people coming to Harvest Drive Family Inn by way of a bus for a three night stay. The nightmare started two months earlier with our people trying to make reservations with a desk clerk who could not speak English. Later we were told some of our members had not yet made a reservation so they called again. One couple had three conformation numbers; another couple had a confirmation number to be told they did not have a room. We arrived in the dark to discover our room keys were in a lockbox by our door. Sounds simple enough but it was dark and no one could see the numbers on the lock box. Cell phones were used as flashlights to get the rooms keys. Once everyone was finally in a room we thought our problems were over. Not so, we then discover about half our group had no hot water. The “maintenance man” was in room 51 so I took him to our room and had him hold his hand under the water. “Me can’t fix” was his reply with little to no English. His reason being it was Friday afternoon. On Saturday they gave those of us with no hot water a list of unoccupied rooms that we could coordinate with others to take a hot shower. Some would have to shower after the bus was scheduled to leave in the morning. That went over like a led balloon. Another couple requested clean towels and wash cloths. They were instructed to leave the dirties outside their door. The dirties were taken and never replaced. Also, you couldn’t go to the front desk to complain because there was no one there, no maid either. There was not one person on the grounds to take care of these problems except one so called maintenance man who locked himself in room 51. I have no problem with people coming to our country … legally... having jobs, supporting themselves and being citizens of this country. But, if you’re going to be in the hospitality business in Lancaster, PA you should speak the native tongue. Lancaster is not Miami, FL or Brownsville, TX. Once home our trip organizer called the hotel informing them they had two options, fix the problem with the guests that had no hot water or do nothing. The hotel has chosen to do nothing. We chose Harvest Drive Family Inn because it is more in the country, off from the beaten path and easy to accommodate a bus. With the experiences we had my advice would be to bypass this place like the plague.

Firstly, I made the reservation two months before the trip. When I got there, there was no reservation for us. We were with a group and there was a cancelation. We were able to take that room. There was no hot water for showering. The organizer for the group spoke with the manager and tols her that there was no hot water. This was a Friday morning. Nothing was done all that day. The next morning I called at 6:45am to omplian about the water. She acted like that was the first time she knew about it. When we came back to the motel in the afternoon, there was no hot water still. I called again. She said that she was unable to get a plumber to come in to fit the problem. When we came back from dinner, we had a note in the room instructing us about the schedule for showering. At my time that evening, there was no hot water. I asked for a discount and got he run around about having to go through the trip organizer. I don't understand why the maid didn't notice there was no hot water when she cleaned the bathtub...unless of course, she didn't clean it. The room was dirty. In the corner by the door, there was a pile of dirt and dead flies by the front door. By the cove to hang up clothes there was a huge wad of black hair. My hair is gray. Neither the remote control for the television or the heat/AC worked. In order to change the room temperature, I had to climb up on a stool. I wasn't the only one. Most of the people in our group had horroe stories about this stay.

Made Reservations & Confirmation on Feb. 2, 2022. Not until Feb. 14 while on the road there, we received a call from their "hard to understand" answering service advising us that Harvest Drive was under renovation, and we would have to go to Spruce Lane. Upon arriving at Spruce Lane, it took 30 minutes of repeatedly calling both motels & the answering service receiving no answers. Finally, the answering service called back and again being hard to understand, I had to figure out lockboxes to get our key. The heat was not turned on in our room and the toilet leaked when flushed. Several days later, I finally saw some cleaning staff, and I advised about the toilet problem for service after we left. Later I received a call from the answering service advising that we were going to have to move to another room. I had to get very vocal to refuse to move! Later, the answering service called me back claiming that I had called her about "a baby shark"!!! When I advised that I had only talked to her about our lodging, she hung up on me! We have been staying at Harvest Drive for over 10 years but will NOT be staying again unless major improvements are made!
