Spent 2 nights at the Inn at Intercourse. The hosts had everything ready for us. Didn't see a soul but they had continental breakfast ready for us in our room. Missed the over breakfast conversation but it was the best you can expect in these strange times.
The stay at the Inn was cozy and romantic. The rooms were nicely furnished and the ammenities were great. Room fridge, microwave, dishes, utensils and a fireplace. The five course breakfast was delicious. I especially appreciated that the fact that the staff was extremely welcoming and freindly. My wife and I will definitely return for future stays.
Check in was so smooth and easy with no contact. The suite was amazing so clean and stocked with water and we were even left a bottle of sparkling cider for our anniversary 💗 my husband loved the chocolate chip cookies that were left as well! The Inn is beautiful and so convenient to be right there in the middle of all the shops!! We also liked that even though they are not serving the hot breakfast right now we were given the choice to go to the old mill restaurant. Our anniversary weekend was so great we will be coming back to the Inn!!
To be honest, I was apprehensive about traveling anywhere amid these "trying" times. But PA had just re-opened, and the "Dutch Country" seemed like a good option. The Inn was comfortable, clean and centrally located. The main Inn was closed, so no "candle-lit 5-course breakfast" option. However, the first morning, their continental breakfast included a home-made muffin, oat bat, fresh fruit and chocolate chip cookies, yogurt and OJ in the room mini-fridge. Also pretzels, Wilbur chocolates, canned soda and bottled water. The second morning, I opted for the voucher for breakfast at the Olde Mill Restaurant, a sort walk from the Inn. It was a great value and their food was authentic Amish and delicious. The Inn is a great place to park your car, stay for a few days without having to drive. The only thing I missed was the connection with the Innkeeper - contactless check-in due to COVID was the protocol. It also looks like one location of their spa is open - wish I had known because I would have booked a treatment!…
The Summer Suite we stayed in was very nicely appointed and very clean. The bed was comfortable and the Jacuzzi tub was a great extra. It was also wonderful just sitting in the living room with the fire going, playing cards and/or watching TV. The staff was very personable and accommodating and the food was excellent. Though, in the middle of town, you don't have complete tranquility of a country Inn, noise was minimal so, if you're looking for a VERY NICE place to just crash and relax, this is a MUST TRY.
