We booked an overnight stay here as a base for a trip to London. We arrived at about 1pm and were able to check in straight away. We had a drink in the bar before heading out and the bar man was exceptionally friendly and helpful, even giving us detailed directions to the station and advice on where to change trains to get to our destination. The pub is about a 10 minute walk from the station which has a good service into central London. We arrived back quite late and there was a lively atmosphere in the pub and it seemed very welcoming. We all slept well and the cooked breakfast next morning was very well received! We would definitely book again if we were making a similar trip.

Just left and will not be returning. We did not stay for breakfast, we just wanted out! I was not expecting much but left feeling tired and frustrated that I didn’t check the place out properly. The room was hot, stuffy and was not clean. The biggest issue was the noise. Went to bed at about 10.30 but TV in bar was directly below us so had that until about 1, then the other guests going to bed. I realise the establishment cannot be responsible for other guests but every floor board creaked and walls were made of paper you could join in conversations. Only redeeming feature was only a 5 minute walk to other bars and restaurants. We both agreed it was our worst experience of a B&B / Hotel and will learn from experience. Big Disappointment!

Not recommend for overnight stay, probably one of the worst places we’ve ever stayed in and couldn’t wait to leave in the morning, even considered driving home after the concert. The tiny Room (5) was like an oven, have they not heard of fans?, bathroom light didn’t work, more chance of getting any data speed from the non existent WiFi than any support from the ancient mattress which the springs had gone, my back was in bits! Tossing & turning all night while drenched in sweat, Couldn’t bare to hang around for breakfast in the morning based on what we had experienced so far as dread to think what that was like, so disappeared at 6.30am. I have stayed in nicer hostels abroad!!!! I know it’s London but you still expect to be able to have a night of sleep, Nowhere near worth the £70, Find an Airbnb!!

Decent beer, and acceptable burgers. Parking is at a premium in this area, so better to come by public transport on match days at Twickenham. Always very crowded, but all other pubs in the area are exactly the same
