Convenient and comfortable hotel actually in the Heathrow Airport complex, this hotel is an easy walk to Terminal 5 and accessible to all terminals. The room was well appointed with a grand shower and very large towels, key comfort items for any hotel stay. King size bed that had a comfortable mattress and fluffy pillows. Our stay was unplanned resulting from a missed connection. The on premises restaurant was wonderful! My wife had the chicken breast and thought it was tasty, moist and went well with the abundant veggies and an Alfred sauce. I enjoyed the smoked haddock and salmon cakes also served with Alfred sauce. Very nice selection of reasonably priced wines. We had a reservation at a nearby hotel for our return and immediately canceled to book at this Sofitel! This will be our go to spot for future stays at LHR!…
What a find! I never knew that an airport hotel could be so bright and sunny. Light filled - glass elevators - immaculate rooms and hallways. Charming front office staff and helpful bellmen. Not your usual airport hotel experience. I have used the hotel for both overnight stays and for long layovers at Heathrow. Walk directly from BA Terminal 5 to the Sofitel. Beautiful breakfast buffet with cooked to order eggs and omelette in the morning. A++. The hotel manager tells me that the hair salon will be re-opening soon. What a plus to have a blow out so you can look nice. Really cannot say enough about staff and comforts and location.
We had wonderful help from the front desk, namely Aartee, who went above and beyond to help us with a serious family crisis. We cannot thank her and her colleagues enough. We just love staying at Sofital T5.
Check in was massively busy but we had arranged to use the priority desk and it eliminated any delays. Our upgraded room included tea service, cocktails and breakfast plus a huge space for bedroom and bath. Sartre was most helpful and pleasant during the checkin process.
Great location when traveling into Heathrow. Very friendly staff. Had received great service from Aartee. Extremely professional and very informative. Rooms are clean and spacious. This is definitely recommended for business travelers
Staff were excellent, especially Victor, who helped us to get a cot for an extra person that we met at the airport. He also delivered our boarding passes to us. He was great. The Sofitel at Heathrow is one of our favourite stops on our way to and from Italy each year. We will be back.
We booked a night at the Sofitel T5 Heathrow in order to meet our family scheduled to arrive early morning from Sydney. The staff from the initial check in to check out where so helpful. The problem was that I needed to move my car out of the booked hotel car park early morning and then repark it when we returned for breakfast etc. Absolutely no problem, they gave me an event pass enabling me to do just that without any fuss. As we had a higher category room allowing us to use their club lounge, they invited my family to join us for breakfast which worked well as they were also collecting their hire car form SIXT at the hotel. A super experience
Had an amazing drink crafted up by Constantin. Having started out with a margarita, I wanted another cocktail but different. He asked about my preferences - sweet or dry and followed up with the perfect cocktail. Not sure what it was exactly, but it was tequila based and it was delicious. As well, after having had a long day of travel, it was much appreciated! Almost gone, but here’s a pic!
First impressions of this hotel were very good; excellent location, clean and modern, spacious. Unfortunately all of that was let down when I received a phone call at 22:50 to my room from reception. All they wanted was to confirm my name, very odd and very annoying. Obviously it woke me up; this is an airport hotel.. people tend to go to bed early and wake up early as I indeed had to do the next morning. So thank you Sofitel to your night-time reception staff for disturbing my sleep purely to check my name which was clearly given to your check-in staff earlier that day. Perhaps both need retraining; check-in staff to clearly input their guest's name and night-time reception staff to not ring guest's phones unless an emergency! Fortunately for both myself and the reception staff I was only staying a single night so did not make the effort to go down to reception at night and make my views heard.…
We stayed at the Sofitel the night before our early morning flight from Terminal 5, and have decided that's what we'll do each time we fly out of Heathrow. Our 'luxury room with king bed' was large and comfortable, and was in excellent condition. Best of all, it was quiet. The convenience of being able to walk to the departures gate in just a few minutes was fantastic. Our flight home happened to coincide with the first day of the underground and national rail strike, so trying to get from London to the airport that morning would have been stressful, to say the least.
