We were so very disappointed I was really looking forward to staying here. When we arrived we found mould on the walls it was generally a very tired room in and in need of decoration. We moved to the annex building, the bed there was really uncomfortable and the bedding was very lumpy and thin as were the pillows the... More

Really like this farmhouse style hotel which is over 400 years history and can dating back to 15th Century. Interesting building, clean room, basic facilities and great full English Breakfast. It'd be better if the Wi-Fi can be improved and free in the room.

If it was not for the handy location for travel into London, and price, I would have awarded this hotel an average score. The room was clean and well appointed but was in need of some refurbishment, this could be said for the whole hotel. I noted there was improvement work taking place and this is welcome. Sadly, the work... More

I decided to book two rooms at this hotel for a business trip. I booked through the website & was told "deluxe rooms were available" When we arrived we discovered our rooms were in the "annexe". Its shocking that they are allowing people to stay in this block, its in need of a total refurbishment. The bathroom in my room... More

Needed somewhere vaguely affordable to stay in outer London in order to attend a function in the centre and found this place in Trip Adviser. The building is in need of some refurbishment and does not offer some of the services you find in other hotels (like morning paper delivery) but at least there is a newsagent about 5 minutes... 10 min walk from the tube - great location if going to Wembley. Don't expect luxury. We had room 40 in the new block, shower leaks all over the floor from the cubicle. The cubicle cld do with an overhaul as its tired & worn. Basically we showered changed & slept in the room, so ok for this. Did not... More

Price was reasonable and it is reasonably well connected to the Underground (15 min walk). Problem is that it is in need of some attention and money spent on it. In the room, the toilet seat was damaged, various lights never worked, the shower was a bit tatty and it was all a bit dull and dreary. I will say,... More

Stayed here several times now as in a great location. Whenever I book online, my request for a room with a bath doesn't get through for some reason so best to telephone. Rooms are basic and some are better than others. The lady on reception is very helpful. Breakfast is a hot buffet and excellent value as it is included... More

a group of us went down recently having booked twin rooms and an early check in - got there no twin rooms available and the room we were put in looked like a war zone . When we got back the room was neat and tidy and had been cleaned and there was a made up mattress on the floor... More

I live locally and booked three foreign colleagues in for three nights. It's been some years since I put anyone into the hotel and I am aghast at what I heard from them. Staff attitude bordering on rudeness and certainly indifference, 'dirty' feel to the rooms, a 'duvet' thinner than a well worn blanket, temperamental WiFi, paint peeling off ill-fitting... More
