We stayed in this hotel in November which is very cold so would expect heating to be on. We had 5 rooms booked as we were meeting up with family. When we arrived the owner (man) was very polite and checked us in, once we got in the room the rooms were freezing but do have a electric heater but... More

Thank you for your comments The heating was on but with old buildings it does take time to reach temperature, we apologies if some members of your party felt cold on arrival at 3.30pm Upon check in you were provided with information how to inform ourselves should you have any issues, the matter relating to the showers could have being... We booked this place as a very last-minute decision to stay overnight for a nearby wedding. In all honesty we did little more than stumble in at around 3 a.m., collapse on the twin beds and go straight to sleep. That said, the beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the shower was nice and hot in the... More

Very homely feel. Comfy bed and spotlessly clean. The 135 bus into Manchester passes the door and the tram into Manchester takes 25 minutes from the Interchange in town. 10 minute walk to both Gigg Lane- Bury F.C. ground and the town centre in the other direction. Good value friendly accommodation.

Stopped here for a night as we had an early start on a champagne breakfast party for our friends silver wedding on the local stream railway. We were given a warm welcome and local info on where to eat/drink. Room was comfortable and had some new furniture. Good night's sleep at a very reasonable price. Would stop again.

Great and reasonably priced, easy to find. Rooms clean and stocked with plenty of coffee and tea. Clean powerful shower. Lovely building. Didn't think it was necessary for the lady who owned the manor to tell me, you didn't need to ring the bell, we are only here... Well how was I to know you were staff and not guests?... More

Good service level for a great price. As a bonus the gardens are well stocked, tidy and looked great.
