We booked this place as a very last-minute decision to stay overnight for a nearby wedding. In all honesty we did little more than stumble in at around 3 a.m., collapse on the twin beds and go straight to sleep. That said, the beds were very comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the shower was nice and hot in the... More

Very homely feel. Comfy bed and spotlessly clean. The 135 bus into Manchester passes the door and the tram into Manchester takes 25 minutes from the Interchange in town. 10 minute walk to both Gigg Lane- Bury F.C. ground and the town centre in the other direction. Good value friendly accommodation.

Stopped here for a night as we had an early start on a champagne breakfast party for our friends silver wedding on the local stream railway. We were given a warm welcome and local info on where to eat/drink. Room was comfortable and had some new furniture. Good night's sleep at a very reasonable price. Would stop again.

Great and reasonably priced, easy to find. Rooms clean and stocked with plenty of coffee and tea. Clean powerful shower. Lovely building. Didn't think it was necessary for the lady who owned the manor to tell me, you didn't need to ring the bell, we are only here... Well how was I to know you were staff and not guests?... More

The owners are lovely. Breakfast is great. Building has some really nice period features. The room was nice and spacious. Was a bit dissapointed the bar was shut in the lounge really wanted a drink when I arrived but not an issue really.

Ample parking round the back, great room with tea coffee etc, superb breakfast choices, friendly staff and great location about 5 mins walk to town centre. Beds wear very comfy as was the lounge area. Good service level for a great price. As a bonus the gardens are well stocked, tidy and looked great.

Two big houses put together make for generous spaces but the friendly touch. My ensuite room had everything sensibly arranged as you might at home such as hooks for iron and hairdryer where you would use them, a mirror by a window for good make-up use, an effective extra heater in case Manchester sun didn't shine. The reserved parking round... More
