Parts of the hotel are very old and its beginning to show, mainly in the bedrooms and bathroom. The restaurant is very nice but mid week the menu is limited, it appears most customers are happy to eat bar food in the bar. Not surprised as the food quality is good and the bar food is fairly priced. The beer... More

Invited to join friends here for lunch. The Inn is beautifully kept inside and out and quite quirky. A lovely old pub, parts are almost original and other areas are modern. All well kept and sparkling clean. A good menu and interesting specials. Everything was fresh and cooked perfectly and home made. Our first visit but we will often make... More

This place is in a lovely location and the food was good. We had a light bite style supper. What spoilt it for us was the angry, rude woman behind the bar. She had clearly had a long day and really wanted to take whatever was wrong with her out on the customers that came in. We would never return... More

The Talbot is rather typical of Leominster generally, old world charm not immediately evident but discovered with a little exploration. The staff were really excellent. They were all very helpful and friendly and made this a good place for us to use as a base for walking the Hereford Way.

We were passing the Pub, which looked amazing, so thought we would stop for lunch. Time was getting on so we were not sure if lunch was being served still. We stood patiently whilst two other people were served, which took a while. Just as we were about to ask a person serving another customer walked in, who was clearly... More

Well.....who would give a place one star because their boots weren't licked or their belly pork (which they agreed to pay for was would you believe it...belly pork). There aren't many big country pubs left so if you're still trading you're doing something right. The food is a bit overpriced but the surroundings both inside and out are perfect and... More

Service, didn't really experience any. Belly pork main course at £19 was probably £10 overpriced and very poorly presented and cooked. Just really messy presentation for a restaurant priced meal in what is really a pub. Vegetables served with main were not worthy of feeding hens or pigs they were so old looking and bland. Very very disappointing.

A friend book the talbot for me as I was attending a wedding nearby. A family member dropped me off from east midland airport to the hotel. And it's definitely remote. Remote enough to not get a taxi from The Talbot to the venue. After ringing around for an hour and constantly asking the staff for more taxi numbers I... More

Everything (the staff, the place, the food, the drink and the sunny garden) was great - apart from one very loud lady who, from the moment she sat down to the point of leaving, yabbed on to her boyfriend about this, that and the other in such a LOUD voice. By the time she left, everyone in the garden -... More

Called in on MayDay Bank Holiday totally by chance and had a lovely meal. Dog friendly pub on the edge of town and country. Specialises in locally sourced and home-grown garden produce in their menus. Will call in again when next in the area. Close enough to Worcester if you are using the Hotel as a base.
