Our son was put in here by our local housing authority We went with him to make sure he was ok as he is very very vulnerable and easily led. In the words of someone close to us who is trying to help, our son only ever tries to please people, it is his nature and was therefore the worst place they could have put him. This place is disgusting and no one should be placed here. For anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Kidderminster, please do not even consider this place even if they offer it for free! Cleaning they don't know the meaning of the word. Damp, they obviously think it is patterns on the wall paper. Hoovering, they obviously have no idea, how you clean rubbish up off the floor. oh and maybe just maybe you might be greeted by some used needles that were left for us to see. The shower head was broken off the wall but now I'm being petty. The cupboard was broken. The lights on the wall hung off the wall broken and now I am bored of writing about it. Like I said someone somewhere will write something nice on the owners behalf but be warned I am not a trouble maker just putting you all right.

These photos are of room number 1 on first floor...obviously they dont clean the room very often and have never heard of cleaning materials...had to use the toilet on the landing with others..no toilet paper provided...tv was black and white....advertises rooms from £25.00...not worth 25p....took them 30 minutes to come from their home to answer a phone call to enter...please DONT STOP HERE!!

On a visit to kidderminster for work myself an 2 other work collegues were booked into this accomadation, on our arrival as we approached the front door i could already tell this place was a dungeon an that there wasnt a hope in hell i was gona stay in this place, wen we went inside it was a throw back to the 70's and nt in a good way in a bad way i.e the carpet hadnt been cleaned since then as the dirt was at least a half inch deep. As we were speaking to the owner about arrangements out of the blue in comes waltzing this wat can only be described as a crackhead in to the lobby bare chested in his bare feet an covered in blood coming from the slashes on his neck. When the owner show us the rooms this was the last straw for me, that was me gone there wasnt a chance of me stayin. This place makes fawlty towers look like the ritz its a pure crack den!!

I have stayed here annually for many years, including when it was in previous ownership. I stay there because it's cheap and very handy for the Severn Valley Railway, pubs and restaurants. I do recognise all the criticisms in previous reviews and could add a few more (TV didn't work, no marmalade on offer an breakfast, etc) but I have noted improvements compared to recent years. The car park is now surfaced and tidy, the rooms are cleaner and the whole place seems less tatty. The proprietor (who speaks little English) is much friendlier while the breakfast continues to be very acceptable and promptly served. There is now more competition in the area which may be having a positive effect but I would hate to see the place close (or become an expensive luxury boutique-style hotel) because frankly, it serves it purpose very well given its location and price. My advice would be to give it another try if you've been before, and if you haven't, do so but be realistic about what you expect for the price in such a prime location.
