We were a group of six couples spending 4 nights at the hotel. We stayed in the Lavender Room which is in the roof up 2 flights of stairs. The room is of good size with ample cupboard and drawer space. The separate shower room being long and thin is adequate. Tall people need to be aware of the low... More

Couldn't book a table as restaurant was all booked out, but took our chances and had lovely table in the garden at the back, The food was excellent, far better then expected and the portions were amazing, we all left feeling very full. The staff were very friendly and super helpful Thank you for. Lovely couple of hours

Mug House is a typical english pub with decent accommodation. I have not eaten in the pub as the food is not served outside where the views of the rowing club and river are. The rooms are clean and tidy and if you are not keen on climbing stairs, try to avoid the lavender room, which is three flights up.

A well kept pint of Herefordshire Pale Ale, seats overlooking the birds on the river and a very tasty sandwich that did not scrimp on quality or quantity of ingredients. Burgers were also well received by the boys, all in all a very pleasing lunchtime.

Just spent a great weekend at the Mug House. Very comfortable accommodation, friendly and attentive staff and a cracking breakfast with plenty of options (and toast). Would definitely stay there again. The location is lovely with great views of the river, the Swans and the rowers. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we weren't well enough organised to book... POSITIVES Was a nice weekend away. Location was nice Breakfast was good Beds very clean Friendly staff NOT SO POSITIVE Hot water too hot (scalding) Would benefit from updating as it was a bit hit and miss with the decor and not overly clean (especially down the sides of the bedside cabinets and under the dresser in the restaurant). Go... More

We spent a beautiful weekend at the Mug House Inn, everything about this place is first class, the location for a start was amazing right on the river with seating both overlooking the river and a lovely decked garden area at the back. We stayed in the Rose Room which is the quaintest room with a four poster bed, two... More

My husband and I got married nearby and decided to stay at the mughouse for a honeymoon weekend. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating even when I arrived as an extremely panicked bride running very late and still with rollers in my hair! The rose room, the mughouse's four poster luxury suite, took my breath away and gave me... More
