Had a lovely stay there. Staff couldn't do enough and so polite and friendly. Lots of original character. Good base for visiting the area. Very welcoming of dogs. Restaurant food was good and if you tire of that the charming sister pub The Potting Shed just a 2 minute walk away

We stayed three nights with our two dogs. The hotel is a lovely old country house. Our bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable. We ate twice in the hotel restaurant which was excellent as was their pub across the road where we ate the other night. The staff were friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the swimming pool where we... More

My partner and I were recently married at the rectory hotel and really can't recommend it highly enough. The staff were fantastic, attentive, friendly and helpful, the food was amazing, the rooms comfortable and spacious and the venue is a beautiful, charming, unique and intimate hotel. Friends and family all loved the weekend and we all had such an amazing... More

I stayed with my husband and 2 year old at the Rectory for two nights. The house is large and very tastefully decorated, with a large walled garden filled with beautiful flowers - lots of space for visitors to find a quiet spot. Our room - Sudeley - overlooked the baptismal pond, and had an enormous bed. Breakfasts were really... More

We live locally but needed somewhere to stay while moving. The Rectory was ideal. Spending a week in a hotel with young boys is often a daunting prospect but the Rectory staff could not have been more helpful. They understood that children can sometimes be exuberant. The hotel is quaint with many nooks and cranies. Breakfast was lovelly; I have... More

My partner and I live locally but stayed here as a little anniversary treat and want to thank all the staff for looking after us so nicely. This is such a charming hotel with delightful gardens. It is perhaps a little in need of some refurbishmnet but this is almost part of the charm and the genuine country house experience.... More

The building is very nice and the grounds are lovely, but inside things can be a bit hit and miss. The rooms are comfortable but not modern, you do feel you are living in an old manor house, which can be fun. The restaurant food is good but not great - better to go to their sister restaurant at the... More

I stayed here with my husband this weekend and had a fab time, lovely room, we stayed in the Laverton as was the only room left when booked so one of the smaller rooms but it was all we needed, attention to detail was spot on and the beautiful large windows overlooking the gardens was lovely to wake up to.... We spent one night at The Rectory, and the title of this review pretty much sums it up. For the price and location, it was a decent value, comfortable, country house hotel experience. It was by no means luxurious but then I don't believe it is trying to be. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was delicious, bed was comfortable,... More

We stayed at the Old Rectory for a night - Valentine's Night, as it happened - but ate at their sister establishment, The Potting Shed, which is a couple of hundred yards away. And very good. The only available room was Sudeley, at £185 one of their more expensive rooms. The room was fine, with a view of the gardens,... More
